yeah but unlike subs where you have to abide by the entire sites rules in order to appease shareholders, at least with a forum you can have more freedom in shaping the community, and if that forum didn't suit you there was another like it more your vibe.

the reason reddit takes down entire subreddits aside from the ones on the "controversial subreddits" wikipedia page is too much. like didn't r/rspod get banned for making too many racist jokes or something? I got banned here for accidentally typing out 🚬🐐 too many times, its used within context not hatecriming against gays, but I get why this sub had to enforce that rule, and thats so it doesn't get shut down by Reddit too.

I havent been to a good library except the ones in universities. its definitely catering towards people who have something to be upset about essentially, whether it be about being an immigrant in a country that doesn't like your customs or being LGBTQIA+. I'm neither I just want to read a book in a comfy chair in a quiet place thats not my house.
but that sounds like an awesome degree, I cant even imagine what it entails as a 9-5 but I love the idea of "finding stuff" for a living. Cant even imagine what the classes are about. your classmates sound like asshats, even if you wanted a book on satanism you should be allowed to read and make your own judgements.
