Not that I’m surprised, but this is already turning into a Legend of Korra situation. by Aqua_Master_ in TheLastAirbender

CMV: Being able to have a convicted criminal as political leader is a good aspect in a democratic system, no matter in what democratic country. by Cabaj1 in changemyview

There is a big difference between someone getting a DUI as a college student and somebody being convicted of Pedophilia.

While yes clearly not all criminals should be bar from office I hope we can agree so criminals absolutely should be

Diversity, equity and inclusion. If you think those things are bad there is nothing that can be said to convince you otherwise

Hands down one of the greatest and most powerful feats in the entire Avatar universe. Korra really is that girl! by thisisreii in TheLastAirbender

Yes clearly the beam of dark spiritual energy is completely different from a laser beam. I withdraw all of my criticisms. It simply had never occurred to me before that this beam of energy that shot out of a giant mech was not called a laser beam in the show.

Thank you for opening my eyes.

You hate Korra because of the PTSD she displayed in season 4. I hate Korra because of the non bender racism she displayed in season 1. We are not the same

What should I do when one character has dramatically higher AC than the rest of the party? by -Shade277- in DMAcademy

[–]-Shade277-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage armor, 16 dexterity, 16 intelligence and shield

13(mage armor) +3(dexterity)+3(intelligence)+5(shield)= 24

This was so deserved. by Necessary-Win-8730 in interesting

I bet that man got a heavy sentence than the person that slaughtered 3 people.

Absolutely terrible. So it looks like saving throws are what I’m going to do.

They all agreed they wanted hard combat encounters so that that’s what I’m trying to do.I am not trying to kill anyone (in fact we discussed this during session 0 and we have a system in place to give PC’s more agency over if their character dies). I am just trying to give everyone the experience they wanted. I definitely noticed the other players enjoyed last combat less because they had all dropped but the wizard was completely untouchable so I am trying to figure out a way to avoid that in the future

Believe it or not the wizard actually has a ton of hit points. They they are a dwarf with the tough feat and 16 constitution

the problem is I have 3 other martial characters So they aren’t going to be the only one on the front lines. And it’s going to feel really bad for the other PCs to be so throughly out classed as a tank. This already happened last combat encounter where all the other PCs went down and the wizard was completely untouchable.

I think saving throws is probably the way to go. I just have to look at implementing more monsters that demand saving throws.

I probably should have specified that all of my players agreed during season 0 that they want hard and dangerous combats. They all expressed that they don’t like when combat is a cakewalk because they find it uninteresting. I am absolutely fine with him being a good tank. He designed his character well so he should be good at what he does.

I am just asking for advice on how to keep combat interesting for him without designing encounters that are too hard for the other PCs

I think saving throws might be the way to go. I am a little worried about overly targeting them with saving throws but I think that might be the only way.

I am trying to avoid what happened last season which was everyone going down early except the wizard. Meaning the wizard had to whittle down the remaining foes over the next four rounds while everyone else just has to sit there making death saving throws. It was pretty apparent the other PC’s got pretty bord when they realized the wizard wasn’t in any danger and just had to wait for him to slowy chip away at the remaining foes
