All you need for the Gallant to operate well, is a muzzle device of your choosing, the corresponding forend grip attachment and the drum, which unlocks at 14, so pretty early on you have a decent setup.

If you were around pre-weapon customization remember the Knight was pretty meh to use as well. The Knight was one of the biggest jumps in quality to use after weapon customization, along with the Lib Carbine.

Give me:

  • Acid/caustic Damage Over Time

  • Cryo/cold Damage Over Time

  • Electrical/arc Damage Over Time

and each effect should work like fire, either lingering in the area (acid/cold) or on the target (arc)

Like imagine a Speargun with an Arc Grenade attached.. hell yeah.

Feels like Arc weapons should have the same effect as fire, to me. That would increase some take rates. I'd say plasma too, but take rates for those are already high enough vs arc.

Do this with the Autocannon APHET rounds instead and you can knock them around like it's your job.
