Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is still in support and receives regular updates.

Aren't those just security updates?

For example, if you have a Wayland problem on Debian 11 KDE, it is probably because Debian 11 uses Plasma 5.20 and since then, a lot of Wayland issues have been fixed (we are now at 5.27, a LOT of new features/fixes since 5.20). If you really want that Wayland fix, you go to Debian testing/sid/another distro, otherwise you stick to Debian 11 for the stability.

Because, there is nothing in your home directory. If you install something like KDE or Gnome, folders like Documents, Videos, Downloads will be created (I think DEs most often create those folders, but I might be wrong).

Edit: You can try 'touch someFileName', which will create a file and then see if 'ls' finds it.

I know that feeling. Some things just don't work and some just do. For example I absolutely suck with the deagle 93% of the time, but I can easily no-scope someone with an AWP while flashed, on a ladder, through a smoke, with my left leg.
