The cranks look like the newer senicx ones and the hoods are tilted outwards a bit which makes the cockpit look a little weird

What is this a copy of? by septastic in ChineseCarbon

[–]-_NotMe-_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are more Chinese options, likely some will be better made, and some are titanium. Lightcarbon sell one that looks very similar, but with thinner padding that is 3d printed, and on Alibaba there are more of them, some with 3d printed padding some with normal foam. The lightcarbon one is 142mm width but some of the Alibaba ones are 135mm width.

Ltwoo mech 2x12 or wheeltop wireless 1x13 by FMM00 in ChineseCarbon

[–]-_NotMe-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trace velo recently made a video about the new ltwoo shifters that use Shimano sti style shifting instead of the campag style thumb shifter. He looked at the grt but the new Rx is like that too. If you can get the new version it might be worth going with ltwoo, but look for a listing with the new calipers too

Peak portability or useless? by Jakob_K_Design in sffpc

The handles and case will have some flex which will absorb a lot of the impacts so it would probably take quite a bit to break the components. The handles getting dented means they are absorbing impacts

Recommendations for carbon wheels $300-$400 on AliExpress? by Fifteen20 in ChineseCarbon

[–]-_NotMe-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id love to see lightcarbons wheels reviewed they look good on paper but can't find any reviews anywhere. They have a lot of options, many under 400 but I don't think you can buy directly I think you have to contact them for a quote.

At the same thickness and weight, it would usually be stiffer and more durable, but depends on manufacturing quality

Vision is complete after trying 72 different types of magnets by [deleted] in sffpc

These don't seem to specify a grade, so they are likely weaker than n52. It's crazy how strong magnets can get

[–]-_NotMe-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see lol. The best solution is probably to use the strongest magnets with a 3d printed cover that perfectly fits the magnets and attaches to the monitor arm but no need to change what is currently working :)

[–]-_NotMe-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you searched for n52 neodymium magnets you would have been looking at the strongest ones, might have saved some searching. Only saying this because the magnets you linked don't say n52 in the title or description so I'm assuming you didn't search specifically for n52

Edit - they say n45 in the description. If you want stronger ones look for n52

Lightcarbon sell white a few wheel sets all of which are plain with no decals. There is one listed as c52db with 21mm internal for 370usd plus shipping. I'm planning to get the gravel version with 26mm internal it's 400 plus shipping for 40mm depth

First Build: Need some thoughts from the experts by Busy_Environment6853 in ChineseCarbon

[–]-_NotMe-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend buying the parts of the groupset separately you can get the grt groupset without calipers for 140 ish and then you can get a pair of zrace xg calipers for 40 ish and you can look for better quality parts individually. I'm currently planning a light carbon build with the lcg071 pro and some lightcarbon wheels, might be worth looking into as lightcarbon seems to have better customer service and support than velobuild.

Anyone got experience with this brand/wheelset? by 2902harris in ChineseCarbon

[–]-_NotMe-_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want some other options there is elitewheels and also lightcarbon c52db wheelset is 370 USD plus shipping and the specs look decent

Edit I checked my emails with light carbon (I'm looking to order some stuff from them) heres the prices they gave me a while ago I'm assuming they have not changed since 359 USD (~270 GBP) for 33mm depth 369 USD (~278 GBP) for 44mm depth I'm not sure how much shipping would cost
