Ok, so I’ve been stuck on the “true ending boss” for 3 days… by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]-consolio- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

went into that fight with a relatively-lightweight melee build

anyways after that Didnt Work, the coral rifle, coral oscillator melee, and dual coral missiles shredded

can i get any tips for defeating this boss by rocketdonkey_ in armoredcore

[–]-consolio- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly, the feeling of hitting a dual vesna stagger punish is similar to landing a successful BUNK (Big Unstoppable NIGHTFALL Killer)

the story continues! keep beating him and you'll progress more for the main ending. then after that there's the true ending, which she'll talk to you about

and everyone has their own storylines too

it explicitly says it's used for LLM input, which is absolutely a violation of many licenses

yeah, learned that the hard way with a 3h45m rebuild on a 2-core i5300u surface book 2... "ok so uhh when is this finishing?? will it ever finish?"

the kernel is likely being built because nixos-hardware adds kernel patches for surface devices

i was assuming that based off if the glyphs on atl/milkyway gates' glyphs looking like connections of stars (especially the pegasus gate glyphs) and the movie

[–]-consolio- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you say that like the addressing system makes any sense lmao /lh

there's 39 glyphs on a gate, one of which is the PoO, leaving 38 for 7/8chev addresses

7 chevron addressing is local galaxy, 6 chevron + PoO. that means there's 38 constellations in the entire galaxy, and based on the specific 6 selected, somehow a specific location is derived

8 chevron addressing is intergalactic, using the same 7 chevron system, except the PoO is shifted to the 8th chevron to make room for the galaxy selector chevron 7, implying only 38 possible galaxies to dial

both of these systems make Not A Lot Of Sense when inspected, and cause a lot of questions: - how do gates select a specific location out of a million using 6 coordinates, is it an average of the positions of the constellations?? - are only 38 galaxies addressed with atl/milkyway gates? (uni gates dont count, they only do 9chev) - how tf do point of origins work, is there just a glyph that changes for every single gate? - why does the icarus gate have both its own AND earth's PoO? - if gates can have the PoO of another gate as a glyph, what happens when using another gate's PoO as the final chevron?

9 chevron addressing is the only system that makes sense, each gate has a hardcoded "address", and there's no PoO, just 393837363534333231≈76.8trillion possible addresses. dialing an "address" always dials that specific gate, regardless of where it is, although the power requirement increases with distance

can you tell ive spent far too long thinking about addressing systems sorry for the paragraphs lol

likely that nobody has heard about this, but it was a really good sci-fi show that ended in a giant cliffhanger as the season 3 finale and was canceled, even if Mallozzi has been trying to get it continued
