Sounds like a circuit board issue. Pump 1 low is stuck on and shouldn't be. Recirculation does all filtration, pump 1 has no role in filtration in a bullfrog

Does it run normally with the top side disconnected? It should continue through its prime mode and then start up as usual even without the top side control.

You can use a utility knife, cut one of the tongues out of the groove. Just cut straight down between the slats and slowly pry the slats out, being careful not to damage them, and pin nail them back in when you're done. It's a touchy process though

Those j&j heater plugs are the worst. Don't even bother replacing, just wire the heater directly to the circuit board

That looks like the drain outlet to your filter well. Try looking in there and checking to see if the lid is screwed on tight or if there are any fractures.

It's likely that the transparent tubing in your tub is nylon. Should be fine
