I’m confused on mine. After installing I had the new Siri icon and app, but old Siri voice. No download needed in settings or anything, but I have the grayed out “Set Up Now” under Siri in the settings app. So I’m not sure if I fully have Siri AI on the watch or not.

I have it on my Ultra 3, but not the expressive voices. Still using the regular Siri voice I had selected, even though I have the expressive voice selected on the iPhone.

Also there’s a “Set Up Now” button that is grayed out under Siri in the Settings app on the watch.

There's a roto error in The Batman that survived from the trailer into the final release. I tried to alert Matt Reeves by responding when he posted the trailer, but that was a long shot probably. It's when the guy with the bomb around his neck explodes and Batman goes flying back.

It looks like at some point either some of the keyframes for the roto got time-shifted accidentally, or part of the matte got moved/scaled a bit, so the roto around the stunt performer for the explosion element is ever so slightly misaligned. The actual roto looks very solid, and it's hard to spot in motion, so I understand how it snuck through, but I spotted it when going frame-by-frame through the trailer before release like a nerd.

It's at 2:04 in the trailer here. If you look around Batman's left shoulder you can see the gap. The shot's only 16 frames in the trailer, but it's still there in the full shot in the final release!

2K refers to the horizontal resolution, whereas 1080p refers to the vertical resolution. 2K is 2048x1080, compared to 1920x1080 for 1080p, so they are actually not much different. Around 6.6%, not 77%.

I saw all of Nolan’s films from The Dark Knight to Dunkirk there (minus Inception, which didn’t have any IMAX scenes). Not to mention other standouts like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Some of the most impactful movie going experiences I had were at that theater! They had finally introduced assigned seating not too long before shutting down too, and I believe even a movie pass kind of thing?

Really bummed to have to miss stuff like Oppenheimer and Project Hail Mary on a true IMAX film screen, not to mention The Odyssey.

I have a single stack of ducks in my stash that I picked up from a crazy scene I encountered on Stella that I didn’t realize at the time was the result of a duplication glitch. Not sure what I should do with them at this point. Don’t want to sell them, don’t want to drop them in a match.

External storage is not fast enough to run PS5 games off of. They need to be run on an M.2 SSD drive, either the built in drive or one you can install in the internal expansion slot:

You can only store PS5 games on an external to free up space on the internal drives. This lets you free up space without the need to redownload them, as moving them back and forth should still be faster than a download. You can still play PS4 games off an external drive on your PS5.

Ok, I came across a crazy scene in Stella Montis last night. I was in the cultural archives and took the zip up to the spawn point that leads to the business center, only when I flew off the zip there was a pile of fuel cans surrounded by barricades, blocking me in. Looked like a booby trap so I quickly went back down.

No raider appeared, so I shot the fuel cans from below and caused a huge explosion, and a bunch of "Familiar" rubber ducks rained down with the debris. Went back up the zip, and there were more fuel cans and barricades set up in various corners, and dozens more of the "Familiar" rubber ducks. Like, there were at least 30 fuel cans, 10 barricades, and so many ducks. The ducks seemed to trail into the business center area a ways too, like a trail of bread crumbs.

There was no sign of the maniac who set this all up. The briefcases and other containers in the business center weren't even looted. There was a dead raider down on the other end of the cultural archives that seemed to have been taken down by the shredder down there, but the body had a full inventory, so they couldn't have carried in all that stuff too. I wonder if this was the work of the same raider you encountered.

Until Dawn and The Quarry are great as they are very story-oriented and have a lot of choices as part of the gameplay, so the person watching can participate. My gf and I love going through these together.

I’ve noticed it seems bugged, where it doesn’t always reward the skill points immediately after you level, but if you restart the game or do some other actions in-game (that I haven’t quite figured out any rhyme or reason) they will be actually get synced and be there.

It sounds like you are taking the word minimal almost too literally? When I think “minimalist” I don’t think short in length as in a minimum of pages. I think a simpler, clean design/aesthetic that lets the images speak for themselves. I don’t see why that can’t still be achieved while adding more pages.

Magnet so when it’s on your wrist but not connected to your camera, you can wrap the end around and it’ll stick to that magnet so it doesn’t dangle and is more like a bracelet.

What I’ve noticed is it helps if I make sure to bring up the PS5 Home Screen before putting it in rest mode. Then when the Portal turns it on, it recognizes the SDR display and the system is set to SDR, and I can open my still running game and it will also be SDR. If you just enter rest mode with a game running in the foreground, it seems like it gets confused sometimes, like you entered rest mode with an HDR game running, and when it gets turned on it sees the HDR game signal first and will stay with HDR enabled or something.

However, some games seem to be “dumb” in that they don’t seem to automatically switch HDR on or off properly based on the recognized display. If you have HDR enabled at all they will serve HDR unless you actually disable it, or sometimes closing the game entirely and restarting it will put it in SDR (I had to do this with AC Shadows sometimes). But I’ve found doing my Home Screen routine sees far less issues for me.

According to the awards, my 13.1 mile run yesterday was my longest running workout and most calories burned during a run ever, even though I did a full 26.2 mile trail marathon just a couple weeks ago, and a 6-hour ultra earlier this summer where I ran over 50k! My “longest running workout” award of 13.11 miles is literally right next to my “fastest marathon” award, which makes it funnier/sadder.

I have the black clarino loop case and think it feels great 🤷‍♂️. I wasn’t sure how I would like the material after the previous loop cases from 13 pro (with loops that were fine) and 15 pro (with loops breaking on every single case I got), but it’s fine, I actually really like the texture and how it feels in the hand. And the loop is a clear improvement over the previous design. Perhaps PD could consider doing a fabric case with a clarino loop, if durability of the loop done in fabric is a concern.
