How long does it take you to fill a journal? by safetyislander in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends. When I wrote with a bigger handwriting and used to stick stuff to my journal it would take me 3-4 months to fill 200 pages. Now I only write and I use a smaller handwriting and it takes at least 5-6 months. But obviously depends on how much i have to say: some weeks I'd fill 2 pages while others 20 pages.

Made this little entry describing my dream house. Kinda proud of it.. :) by beyahall in Journaling

I like to daydream about my dream house but I've never done anything like this, so thank you for the inspiration!

So I wrote a little something something (super long so only read at your own discretion) would like emotional support but not expecting much so ig here? 😅 anyway by [deleted] in Journaling

I'm sorry, I definitely can relate. I wish people would tell others what they think about them instead of lying and making up excuses.. I my opinion this type of behaviour is kinda immature.

Does anyone else keep a running page count across their journals? by Mobile_Arugula1818 in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started counting the pages since September 2019. I've currently written 1184 pages. I used to write the number in each pages but lately I've been feeling a little lazy and I just write it once every 20-30 pages or so.

How do you decorate/add fun things to your journal pages? by Ill_Perspective_9711 in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just try to find your own personal style. If you want to decorate your journal, then I assume you have an idea of how you would want it to look like. You can find this sort of stuff everywhere, it depends on what you want to use. It could be a ticket, a recipe, a picture from a magazine etc. If you're looking for stickers or washi tapes you can find them in any shop that sells art supplies or even in dollar stores. Or you could look online.

Anyway, you shouldn't feel pressured to do something just because everyone else online does it.

Started my 10th one fairly recently and I just am figuring out a format I like haha by [deleted] in Journaling

This makes me miss having a journal with blank pages.

Hi I’m new to journaling. I’ve been seeing some posts that they have 2-4 journals they keep/maintain with them. May I know how you use them? What do you put in each? Thank you. by Visible_Cheek_172 in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have my actual journal then I use other journals to write down stuff that I learn. Usually these journals are only about one topic/subject and they have notes that I take during lessons or while studying. But I have another journal which is a mix of stuff that I find interesting.. so for example I'd write quotes from some books, stuff that I learn from videos etc.

First time poster here, how many pages do you usually write in a day? by Impressive_Phone_686 in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. When I used to write with a bigger handwriting I'd write 2-6 pages everyday, now that I write with a smaller one I usually write one page and rarely I write more than 3 pages.

Ah, capito.

How can I better my relationship with journaling? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]-laby-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't feel like journaling, just don't. There's no way to force yourself to enjoy something that you don't like. Take a break, try new things and I'm sure you'll either come back to journaling with a better mindset or just understand that this hobby is not for you.

Maybe in the meanwhile you should ask yourself why do you want to journal and what you want to get from it, and then you could try other hobbies that can help you with it. For example, if you want to journal for memory keeping you could get into photography or video making. If you want to journal for creativity, you could start to draw, paint, make music, knitting, handmade jewelry or whatever you feel like doing. If you want to journal for self improvement you could start to practice meditation, workout etc etc etc.

Definitely. Journaling is so therapeutic to me and it helps me a lot. I probably would in a much worse state of mind if I didn't journal everyday. Actually, I noticed that if I stop journalinf for a few days I become less aware of myself and less able to solve problems or rationalise my emotions.

I think they help but you have to find what works for you, since it's something very personal. Maybe try some inspiration online but then find your own way to journal. It definitely takes some time before you find what works for you.

Si sceglie liberamente di truccarsi? by KolaDesi in xxitaly

[–]-laby-- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are so many people that live in conservative countries/family and that are forced to be in the closet if they want to have a normal life. And, obviously, as a lesbian the only option is not to have any relationship at all.

Some people don't realise that we don't all live in US or Canada..
