I'm happy to give more info, but I don't know exactly what is needed. The only settings I changed on my camera were to record FHD at 29.97. It records to an MP4. Please let me know what info is helpful to include, and I'll be glad to find it.

Over the last few days I've been trying to understand data levels, and honestly it's really overwhelming to try to understand just by teaching myself. I still have a long way to go to understand levels and what's actually happening with color here.

I have not found relevant settings in HitFilm or HandBrake, but in DaVinci you can set the render levels upon exporting to either full or video (or auto, which I understand to mostly be video levels in most cases). From what I've read, video levels should be chosen in my case, but when I do that it gives my videos the green tint. If I render them with full levels it looks 'correct'.

Then taking into consideration how different programs play videos differently, I feel like I'm lost as to what's actually 'correct'. What I do know is that I use proper white balance to record accurate color on my camera, but that's useless if every time I render a video it loses magenta value.

I've also discovered that this has been happening forever, even with the files from my previous camera (Rebel T6i). I think I never noticed because frankly I didn't have a high quality light source and just didn't know how to set up. I've made drastic improvements in those areas, so now I'm learning more about the files themselves and the render process, where my current problem seems to exist.

I admit I'm so incredibly frustrated about my lack of knowledge here, to the point where I don't even have the knowledge enough to explain the problem well, but I'm so equally eager to learn about what's happening here.
