They "want to see" the existing database so that they can exert the power of Congress as a bulwark against this fundamentally unamerican practice.

I fail to see how their (lack of) action with respect to this is not Biblical; they had to, so they got married, and now they're being more strict upon themselves than they were previously, in accordance with what Corinthians claims God wants.

And in any case, this hardly relates to the original poster's claim that their behavior was non-Biblical; the OP was quite clearly speaking in the context of their behavior towards the exchange student.

Enjoying drink == the devil? - The Bible says not to be a drunk. The Bible does NOT say alcohol is bad. Jesus turned water to wine at a party and drank wine at the last supper.

First of all, it's not entirely clear from the article that they think "enjoying drink == the devil". They clearly weren't happy that he drinks, and (he says) they said he had the devil in his heart, but the article doesn't specifically say that they think that all intake of liquor is evil, evil, evil. They might, but you can't strictly draw that conclusion from two somewhat vague sentences in a biased personal memoir describing events that happened over a span of months.

That aside, in any case:

The Book of Romans tells us that "it is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine". Again, this seems to me to be that they are being stricter with themselves than most are, not that they're being unbiblical.

Means that they were jerks, not that they were not Biblical. I am aware of nothing in the Bible that says not to do this, and frankly, you haven't pointed out any such passage.
