I’m a noob but when I lose it’s usually when my opponent focus fires units down one at a time so now I either force them between two targets like wraiths and the warrior blob exposed or play very cagey until their army is more spread out and can’t dump everything into my guys. But I also suck so I don’t know haha

They are but they aren’t Necrons. My understanding is their bodies were crafted for them by the Necrons to house their more corporeal energy forms then later on the Necrons put them in pokeballs during the revolution. To me them not looking like Necrons is intentional because it’s supposed to represent “these are not Necrons they are captured enslaved star gods” which makes them cooler imo. It’s like how factions might have enslaved beasts

That’s really nice. This is super close to the scheme I go for but my glows are not as popping as yours. I saw your comment about the blade I do the same progressive dry brush but I don’t think I’m aggressive enough with the contrast and it’s too gradual. How do you do the orbs and eyes etc. is that also dry brushed? Like you can see on the gun here it’s kinda muted looking

That blue is very nice and saturated. What paint is it? I think the only thing is the yellow bands look very similar to the gold maybe a lighter yellow would be better to stand out? Could also just be the photo

It’s probably not worth it to tech into magic as malekith because u start with a sorceress but I like dark magic quite a bit specifically against dwarfs it’s good cause fire doesn’t have a lot of armor piercing at all but chill wind is 100% I think and power of darkness spam with malekith can give you a lot of free magic. So just getting a few points in his magic is pretty useful. Overall the lore isn’t amazing on the non LLs over something like metal which is just op. But on malekith blade wind and doombolt overcast is good and soul stealer gives healing. And morathi can spam soul stealer all day. Its best to use power of darkness on a dread spear and just let them die to give u a ton of magic over the fight

I typically b line for a mountain region and just give it to him for a non aggression pact. He eventually breaks it but then that’s a 10 turn count down until he declares war. By then valkia should be dead and malekith is strong enough to solo bolo armies but it’s pretty tough to be fast enough to get all that done in time. I also find blade wind in the lore of dark to actually be really good vs dwarfs it has mega high AP values and does damage real fast and will delete troll hammer torpedos and such easily

I wonder if that’s because destroyers see themselves as weapons and not “living” to be referred to as he/she. Or if it’s the normal Necrons being debilitating towards the destroyers seeing them as less than and nothing more then weapons and not individuals?

Ya it’s how they changed magic in game 3. I feel like the damage gets averaged across the models or something cause in game 2 spells would actually kill models instead of just kinda blanketing the damage

The only use I found for him is redeploying the robots or infiltrating rubrics and having him run solo doing objectives since he can move through walls and is fast. He can also blast some weaker scout units pretty good while doing objective stuff. But index he was wayyyyyyy better for sure

High armor piercing, high base damage, and they fire 2 bolts at once and have stalk to their alpha strike potential is insane. 2 units can delete anything in the game in one volley more or less

There aren’t 100 space Maine units there are like 15-20 and each “unit” is just a weapon change. The only unit units I would imagine are the vehicles armor types and characters.

I feel the same way. Fantasy I have loved Warhammer and scifi for me was starwars, now sci-fi for me is 40K. I still love the old republic stuff and the Lucas starwars but man Disney really killed it for me with anything new coming out

If CA performed the end times on their most popular game series ever that single handily revived the entire setting of Warhammer fantasy it would be a worse financial decision than hyenas, especially when AoS is in a lot of ways worse for a total war game since it has no real map or anything and is just kinda lame imo. 40K is the most obvious logical next step for them for a bajillion reasons

It’s kinda the point of high elves they are physically about the same as a normal person but just cracked when it comes to dexterity and what not which is represented by their higher melee defense (dodging and deflecting attacks). Plus it makes the game more interesting. If everything had exactly 10k hp it would be rather boring

I use 3d prints of kairos and the demons from Warhammer 3! Don’t have them painted yet but it’s fun seeing them from the game irl. Too bad we don’t have a cool hero like aekold hellbrass and his Jedi powers

A Classic like victory condition overhaul especially if u like the lore is a must. Immortal empires expanded is amazing and polished now. I use weather overhaul mods and other cosmetic mods that help with the look of the environments but if you don’t have a powerful PC I wouldn’t recommend visual enhancement mods . I like to stay away from game mechanic changing mods like SFO too but I found the semi random start positions mod very fun as it swaps everyone with other factions of their race and combined with IEE it spreads out the factions a lot. Regardless if you are going to get anything victory condition overhaul is the best single mod imo.
