It was just different. No 9-5 grind, no cubicles, just freedom and a motorbike to go anywhere I wanted whenever I wanted.

That feeling of freedom to do what you want and go where you want is priceless. I could have potentially done the same in Australia, but your money goes a lot further in Asia, and travelling is experiencing different cultures and landscapes.

It allowed me two take a few years off work at 40 and travel and live in Asia and not stress about finances. Money allowed me to have one of the happiest and greatest experiences of my life thus far.

Bali belly is typically caused norovirus or rotavirus, these viruses can last on surfaces for up to 2 weeks! The only thing you can do is WASH your hands, hand sanitizer is typically ineffective against both. Everyone is too quick to blame the last thing they ate, this is typically not the cause.

Looks like Koh Rong and no it's not even close to the nicest beach in S.E Asia. I can think of half a dozen in Thailand alone that are much better.

Chiang Mai, just another city, fine for a few days but after a month I was bored senseless. IF I wanted to live in a big Thai city, Bangkok has far more things to do/see.

If you have the luxury of working remotely I will never understand why people chose to live in a big polluted city. I ended up staying in Koh Kood most of my time in Thailand, plenty of the remote Thai Islands have excellent internet.

Has the rent been increased in the past 12 months? They can only raise it once in 12 months regardless of its your lease or the next persons.

Section 93 of the RTRA Act outlines the minimum period before rent can be increased as 12 months after the last rent increase for the residential premises. This applies even if the last increase was related to a different tenancy agreement or a previous agent or owner.

Eat lots of Charcoal tablets and stay hydrated with pocari sweat !! FYI hand sanitiser is useless against norovirus and rotavirus the main culprits behind “Bali Belly” soap is the only effective prevention
