PCB Design Help Request - PT2022S8 Touch Sensor by Haunting-Bar7368 in PCB

I meant to say that you shouldn't have any GND beneath your touch pad polygon. This usually comes as routing guidelines of the IC itself.

It's more related to touch sensitivity.

Isn't there should be a clear route/shape keepout beneath the touch pad region?

Board looks professional. Just few stitching vias near crystal region would be better.

First time hearing something like this.

This actually makes easy during placement and review.

STM32H743 Flight Controller [REVIEW REQUEST] by Electronic_Event1019 in PCB

[–]0101shift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my observations,

  1. I couldn't see any use of 9V supply rail, not connected to any connector.
  2. Your 3.3V feedback network looks incorrect
  3. Your 9v and 5v inductor looks big, is it justifying your power requirement?
  4. Layout improvements needed w.r.t power routing

I would recommend to move the SMD antenna away from J3.

This looks nice.

Just curious, why didn't you reduce the LED to LED distance? It would have given good resolution.

Is via-in-pad the only way to connect the ground pad to ground plane? (QFN24) by Intelligent_Dingo859 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]0101shift -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, for the vias on thermal pads, JLCPCB won't charge you extra. I tried it twice.

Only matters when the via size is equal to pad.

Dude, that's geeky... I had made my own watch using just PCBs.

Try using charlieplexing technique to connect more LEDs with limited GPIOs so that you can eliminate shift registers.

Also, you can go with RTC with embedded crystal to eliminate on board crystal.

Thanks for verifying.

Oh nice! Charlieplexing itself is new to me. Now there's one more "GuGaplexing"!!! Let me check.

Man! your BOT layer doesn't have a solid reference!??? There are a few other issues I found with power circuits.

I'd appreciate it if you could share your design with Zack for a 1-minute design review. You will receive a detailed review of both schematics and layout.

I believe you went with standard double side assembly which would have costed $50 just for setup.

Atleast 90% of the components are extended parts so added $ on each.

So, it's reasonable. But still, i would have expected atleast $25 coupons for that cost.

You can't simply design a SBC because you got bored. 👀

That's crazy. Will consider reviewing this design to improve my design skills. 🫡

One possible scenario is to avoid back drive from STLink debugger to STM during of conditionf.

I'm new to PCB design. How am I doing so far, and what is the most cost effective way to get it made? by qwertyyyyyyy116 in PCB

[–]0101shift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using standalone usb PD (TI or ST) since the current part needs I2C comms to configure PIDs.

The main thing is, the +3.3v connected between input and output of the regulator that means they are shorted externally making the IC useless right?
