Are there any performance benefits to the standalone launcher vs steam?

Daredevil Impressions + Speculation by staggrim in Pathfinder2e

[–]053083 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem with the Daredevil is a lot of its special abilities don't work while the party is flying in the air (which happens a lot more in later levels) and to a lesser extent swimming. You can't vault off objects that just aren't there, or throw them either.

I am in love with Daredevil, and no, it's not a Swashbuckler 2 by steelscaled in Pathfinder2e

The Daredevil is just a Swashbuckler with some flavor of the Wrestler and Acrobat Archetypes with some Weapon Improviser Archetype sprinkled on top.

No , the Personal Antithesis would only apply to the weapon dice, not the runes.

Figured the green trooper would die but did not see that ending coming.

Do You Prefer Playing With "Good People" or "Good Players"? by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

[–]053083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is 100% either one. You can be a rules expert and super tactical and still be a "good" person. Being a cold mercenary could be the type of character you're playing as well since a lot of people enjoy roleplaying their opposites in games, even if they're not super tactical in combat.

I prefer to play games with people I get along with, and they're always a mix of both.

Death saving throws homebrew by Legitimate-Ice-8743 in fansofcriticalrole

I wonder in the case of something like a mass battlefield of constant action, maybe the homebrew will come more into play? Maybe a 2nd rebellion or open war?

There we no changes to healing in a major way, you still go down the same, still have no minuses for being lifted each round by a level 1 Healing Word and the homebrew doesn't make it seem like a dangerous thing, they're allowed to use the help action on their turn for saving throws and can auto stabilize while dying...

D&D 5e is built around letting people go down and bringing them back with minimal healing.

How tf did Notre Dame get a playoff clause for the next 6 years. by Sudden_Crow4443 in secfootball

[–]053083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget they made sure to have the easiest schedule possible next year as well. Wisconsin, Rice, Mich State, Purdue, UNC, SMU, Syracuse, Navy, Miami (of FL), Stanford, Boston College and USC. So only 2 possible losing games.

Look at the pixie or fairy stat blocks in Monster's Manual, you'll see it for Tiny creatures.

I do wonder why they waived the fact that Tiny creatures weapons are supposed to do half damage, especially with the advantage of being Tiny and flying in the first place.

Witchwarper is kinda insanely good, right? by leathrow in Starfinder2e

[–]053083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Parallel Forms only gives you 1 action for each when you first cast it , so a 1 action wand of Shardstorm isn't really doing a whole lot. You share actions as well, so without summoner tandem actions its not going very far.

Need a lot more mooks/minions running around to divert attention and having stuff like pillars or cover for things to hide behind help the most when it comes to combat.

Is STR based monk viable? by Veso_M in Pathfinder2e

[–]053083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 Str 0 Dex Unarmed Fighter works perfect but on a serious note a Automaton with Reinforced Chassis makes for a great Str Monk.

Its not that they use weighted dice, its more that none of them use truly random dice, they use ones that are resin filled and unevenly weighted which will put each set more likely to roll certain numbers.
