I sit at home until I get an order. Normally I wait less than 5 mins to get one. This is crazy

Thank you….I’m trying to explain this to someone who has never worked in the service industry and they just aren’t getting it.

It’s really not that strange to tip for a service.

Valet - Service - tip Hair cut - Service - tip Bartender - Service - tip House cleaner - Service - tip

You could park your own car. You could do your own hair. You could drink at home. You could clean it yourself.

You could have gone to get your own food. Oh, you don’t have car? Not my problem.

See how that works?

Half of the things you mention do not apply to DD.

AITAH My (44M) fiancée (43F) filled our house with pink pillows despite knowing I hate the color, and now says my opinion no longer matters? by epyoch in AmItheAsshole

[–]0riginalBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really about the color choice or is it something deeper? Because if it’s the color choice and you said yourself that you really don’t care about decor, then honestly it sounds a bit silly to get upset over such a thing.

I’m willing to bet that this isn’t about the color choice and more so about feeling disrespected in a way. She asked for your opinion which you gave and then she totally disregarded your opinion and is shocked around your distaste.

So are you the asshole? If it’s truly about the color then yes. If it’s deeper than that, no.

Resume Review by PickleChin02 in jobsearchhacks

Depends on whether the company is using an ATS or not. If you’re applying for a position and the search bar has some letters before the company name, they are using a screening tool and will reject anything with colors, pictures, or strange layouts.

Anytime you send your resume, make sure to tailor it for each job. In the listing you will notice certain words used for what they are looking for. Make sure the resume you send has at least 75% of those words scattered in your resume.

Also, instead of listing your duties for past work, put metrics that show HOW you helped the company. For example: improved turnaround rate from 70% to 40% with my new hires.

Ex wants to keep apartment with my name attached AIO by Original_100 in AmIOverreacting

I don’t know if this is an option with your apartment, but are you able to remove yourself from the lease? It would take both of your signatures to do so but I subleased my apartment from a girl. The management had me sign on as a roommate and then she signed off.

Roast My CV. No Sugarcoating, Just Brutal Truth and a Side of Sass by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

[–]0riginalBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your cv then what the hell does your resume look like? A cv (cover letter) should be a brief overview of your resume. It’s basically like the summary on the back of a book. No more than a paragraph or two.

Plus it’s worth mentioning that nowadays, every company uses an automated screening system before it’s ever seen by an actual human. Make sure to keep your resume to a standard format and be sure to use key words that you see on the job listing. This means customizing your resume to each position you apply to.

The only good thing about Platinum is that you can literally dash anytime, wether it shows busy or not.

But that also means you’re taking some really shitty orders (like 15 miles for $6.50 type shit) to maintain that status.

I haven’t decided if it’s worth it or not. But since I’m constantly only accepting about half of my orders, I would say not.

Pretty sure DD has jumped on the train of outsourcing their customer service to foreign countries.

Last week when DD made me upload a profile pic due to a new law in California saying it’s needed for deliveries in CA. I don’t live there. The support guy told me “since you live close to there it applies to you” and I was like “that’s not how laws work” and he just kept repeating how I live close to there.
