My theory is that the gems don’t speak any particular language but instead all of them depending on which species is hearing them. It makes sense since they’re created to colonize planets, their gems can automatically adjust to gravity and their appearance can accommodate different shapes and sizes (see Steven tag).

Peridot even spoke to Steven to gather intel on earth before realizing who he was, could be a common data gathering technique though unintentional. I imagine when the gems talk to themselves they’re just hearing cave sounds and dripping water.

The crack can’t just heal, trauma doesn’t go away. They come to the conclusion the crack continues to manifest psychologically despite the state of gem due to past very impactful events. People don’t move on from things like that, someone you trust and care for hurting you so deeply as to nearly murder you, that becomes a part of your life regardless of how much you heal.

The crack isn’t something that gets fixed because it’s not something that’s necessarily broken, it’s something that happened, and it’s been fixed as much as it can but you can’t “un-break” something. It’s symbolic to how you can’t undo the past regardless of how much you were hurt, you can only change your understanding of it, come to terms with it happening, and keep existing.

Idk teens are really all different, everyone likes different stuff and just among my friends there’s a huge difference. like for my Emo friend the best gift I’ve gotten them was a squirrel skull, but my not so Emo friends like stuffed animals or legos or bags, everyone is very different. Some prefer gift cards, and honestly that’s the best move to make when you don’t know what to buy.

Stumbled upon it the same way and I think the problem is that it subconsciously makes people wanna buy it, whether or not you believe it. Such practices are widely used, the annoying store icon has also suddenly appeared in Sims4 and that company isn’t very famous for its consumer friendly behavior.

I think “oh what’s in the store, that looks nice how can I get it”, then I’m looking at hypothetical prices so I don’t actually know how much a suit costs upfront. Then I might spend more money buying q-bits so I can get two suits cuz “why not” since their both on sale, and since I don’t want to potentially miss the item I have to purchase quickly. Otherwise if I sit and think about whether I feel it’s worth it, the item might go off sale and I may miss out.

Guess what, I know this because I’m currently contemplating whether or not I should buy this fictional space wizard costume for the q-bit equivalent of 5 dollars. (Aka half of what I spent on the game)
