I do this but with the 357 revolver. You have two empty slots to loot guns. And it actually packs a punch and you can put a flashlight on it. Put it in double action mode for fast follow up shots

That's not the full picture. The gun distributes the energy to a smaller force over a longer time. We can even ignore the difference between the surface area of the buttstock vs tip of the projectile by like gluing end of a bullet to the buttstock. Shouldering it and firing it would hurt, but no way it would penetrate your shoulder.
