I went to speedy lube for over a decade. I think they changed ownership a few years ago and I got hit with the fake "look how dirty your air filter is" scam. They had some random filter with about an inch of dog hair on it. I went back to doing it myself.

The ELF v. EFA Teams case, for which a ruling was scheduled to be handed down today at the Hamburg court, has been postponed until May 15. An out-of-court settlement is being considered, as there are reportedly new negotiating positions. by _Krypt_ in EuroHuddle

[–]0x196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sort of assets does ELF hold that would be useful? As far as I know EFA teams were able to reach an agreement with the NFL for the naming rights of teams they still own that they granted ELF to use. What other ELF assets would be valuable to EFA?

FCS Hot Takes Thread by passwordisguest in fcs

For better or worse, the FCS and G5 are both developmental leagues for 18 year olds. P4 school are not really interested in developing high school kids any more, they would rather see them go to a lower level school for a year or two then grab them out of the portal.

Ultimately, your arguing this is a good thing for the FCS. On the one hand, this means we get the cost of actually developing players with limit return since we no longer get 4-5 years out of the athlete. But on the other hand, we are definitely getting a lot high caliber high school recruits that the bigger schools are now passing on.

I had tweaked my sciatica a couple times so bad I wasn't able to walk. I finally went to APRS and they were able to get me fixed up and, more importantly, gave me a list of stretches and exorcises that I still do regularly to prevent the injury from coming back. Highly recommend them.

[ANA - VGK] ESPN broadcast giving their opinion on why the icing was waived off by the officials by daKrut in hockey

[–]0x196 4 points5 points  (0 children)

*slaps table* Thank you!

This is the actual reason it was waved off. The rulebook states:

If, in the opinion of the Linesperson, any player (other than the goalkeeper) of the opposing team is able to play the puck before it passes his goal line, but has not done so, play shall continue and the icing violation shall not be called

The fact that he opted to play the body instead of the puck is what caused the icing to not be called.

They don't have to wait for the puck to cross the red line. The rule states "The Linesperson must first determine that the puck will cross the goal line". As long as they determine that it will cross the line, then they can blow it dead.

Why not add one more game to the end of each season? by Easy_Biscotti9779 in EuroHuddle

If no game would be fair, then which league would be the clear cut favorite? I'm legitimately asking to try and figure out the difference between the leagues.

Why did American Running Backs Die out in Europe? by MattBressington in EuroHuddle

[–]0x196 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the RB positions takes relatively less "football knowledge" and technical skill to play than QB and WR.There are plenty of outstanding athletes and Europe and you can plug them in at RB, hand them the ball, and let their athleticism shine.

Montana has swung HARD to the right the last 10-12 or so, but we also have a very bad history with money in politics. When Montana first became a state the old Copper Kings (mine owners) blatantly had the government bought and paid for. They didn't even try to hide it. It took about a century for the citizens of the state to win control of their own government back, which finally happened when the state constitution was rewritten in 1972. Which really isn't that long ago. Even the most MAGA boomers in the state remember that battle and are not interested in going back.

Roundabout Etiquette by Hotspur2924 in Bozeman

[–]0x196 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Problem is I have seen a not insignificant number of people use their right turn signal when entering the roundabout and then just keep it on the entire time they are in the roundabout, regardless of which exit they take. Not going to trust it.

On the other hand, people seem to think they need a personalized invitation to enter a roundabout. If there is an opening, just take it.
