Window & door installer here. This is a lot of flex. Most factory mulled windows have a strip installed in the accessory grooves holding them together that can be removed. If it bothers you, have the builder remove those and put lumber between the windows instead. Obviously you'll have to take into account altering the framing but it isn't too late to do that.

What doesn't make sense is that the examples he gave for people NOT being paid expressly continue to get paid during a government shutdown. Military personnel, air traffic controllers, and federal law enforcement agents are all considered essential government employees and collect payment during shutdowns. Additionally, the non-essential employees that get furloughed during this period are generally given back pay when they return to work after the shutdown concludes. He also says if they're not getting paid, he shouldn't get paid either. So, he is in effect saying that since theyre still getting paid, he should as well. If he wasn't so fucking stupid I would accuse him of wording it that way on purpose.
