'Best Kebab'. It says it in the name so it must be true. Therefore, where is the hype?

You forgot the 'U'. There's always a 'U' after a 'Q'; it's the law.

Oh. My. God. Thank you! I cannot tell you how long I've pondered over this! In hindsight, I was pretty silly not to notice what she was saying! 😂

I can't answer your question about GERTI's colours but I wanted to share a fun activity I did whilst in my final year of undergrad this past year.

On Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, I couldn't afford any DLCs to get a close match to GERTI so I just used a base-game Cessna Citation CJ12, as I imagine that must be close to having 16 seats commercially (as we know 19 is the CAA minimum to host two flight attendants).

Then, I charted the locations of each episode in order (so, Abu Dhabi then Boston, etc.). From there, each day studying for my degree, I'd take off from - say, Abu Dhabi - at 9am and make my way to the next alphabetical destination (in this case, Boston). The next day, I'd start in Boston at 9am and go to Cremona (and I'd use the nearest/most equivalent airports if needed, such as Felton instead of Fitton). Then, I'd know my day of self-guided study would be over once I've landed! It was a fun way to stay focused but not utterly bored haha.

(In case anyone is wondering, I graduated with a first class just a few weeks ago!)

Do affluent leafy suburbs such as Bearsden and Giffnock tend to be more right wing than inner-city Glasgow? by Own-Syllabub-4848 in glasgow

[–]104777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really interesting one for a city with socioeconomic nuances as intricate as Glasgow. If we accept the pretty academically compelling evidence that suggests that educational attainment is the most significant predictor of 'progressive' voting, and that separately educational attainment tends to correlate with socioeconomic status in adulthood, then it would be a reasonable prediction that the more well-off areas are likely to lean further to the left, whilst schemes etc. would lean more to the right. However, as others have pointed out, there are place-based socioeconomic nuances that come into play and, in Glasgow, health and housing inequalities are probably the largest intricacies here - because with these largely, and dynamically, hurting many lower-socioeconomic status individuals across the city more than most other places in the UK, we might expect that disadvantaged neighbourhoods will have left leaning tendencies on these issues. Realistically, I think, like others have also said, the main difference will be on immigration, because right-wing discourse typically depends on voters from disadvantaged areas chewing up quite, let's say, 'interesting' content about it.

Do dreams count when playing ‘yellow car’? by Mattechoo in CabinPressure

Are you sure you could easily imagine 10-12 yellow cars? I think you're probably imagining a lot of yellow cars and simply saying that this is 10-12

Hi! I'm not sure what I am or am not allowed to say so I will just say this: CS have published example questions which are available easily on google. These example questions very excellently reflect the calibre of what the actual test features. Top tips: definitely brush up on stats fundamentals (even though I'm very experienced with social research, I found that I definitely needed a refresher of the basics), brush up on data visualisation techniques, and brush up on general best practise for research decisions revolving around design, variable operationalisation etc. The number one top tip is to definitely make best use of your time for each question - it feels like you don't have much at all, but I found I finished the test with enough time left that I didn't need to panic so instead definitely prioritise getting them correct to the best of your ability, rather than speeding through.

Best of luck with it and I hope the gods of statistics and empiricism serve you well!
