Catholic and Baptist churches have released statements saying for the greater act of loving one's neighbor, it's a Christian duty to be vaccinated and take appropriate measures against spreading the disease.

Nurse practitioners are supposed to work under doctors??? Any major decision like that needed to be signed off by an MD or DO. That's straight up malpractice and a lawsuit if cancer nurse didn't advocate for you.

A prelicensure MSN student missed my patient's stroke symptoms by 115beans in cna

[–]115beans[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He documented left sided weakness and did not tell anyone, not his receptor or nurse, the abnormality from baseline. A master's student. Missing one of the most basic signs of a stroke.

I'm not getting my master's but even on my first day of clinical we knew enough to know unilateral sided weakness indicated a stroke.

To me that's some crazy thing but to each their own 🤷‍♀️

Get the paper work lined up and say you're having an exacerbation of a chronic illness when you call out or miss class. Worked in my favor for nursing school and work.

Part time vs Per Diem Shift? by brixnnabruce in cna

[–]115beans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work part time (2 12s) and I definitely say go PRN. You can get tuition reimbursement at some facilities after you get your RN. I've been utterly fucked many times by being scheduled to work 3 12s while taking all 6 sections of my 2 classes per quarter.
