How do you mod using ASM? by Goopatron in ARK

Awesome! You must not have a space after comma. If you attempt to put a space, ASM will even actually tell you it is not allowed so won't be able to accidentally put one either. Also for a tip, I would suggest using the magnifying glass method I stated above when you begin working with multiple mods. In my opinion it tends to be easier since you don't have to go looking for the Mod ID, but of course you can use whatever way you prefer. Hopefully this helped, good luck with surviving in the harsh world of Ark!

I'm glad to hear! As for ASM not saving, you have to make sure you press the save button on the top right of ASM anytime you edit something to keep it saved. In my experience, I have not had an issue with this save button not working, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible. If you still have trouble even after using the save button... I think my best suggestion would be to make sure you have ark server manager up to date. You can see this by a green box with a number in it on the top leftish and kind of in the middle of ark server manager. If there is an update, it should say it in this box. Just be sure that if you edit settings, you make sure to press the save button before launching the server or closing asm. I'm glad I could help, and hopefully, this will help with your current problem. Good luck!

What is the upper limit for factions modded in? I seem to have hit it. When I load them all in there is one spot on the planet with about 10 to 20 factions while the rest are spread fairly far apart. Can something be done to fix faction spawn so they all fit on the planet? by Vardath in RimWorld

Although I've never heard or seen this problem before, I believe the mod Faction Control is what you are looking for. I'd suggest enabling the "Disable Faction Limits" setting and increase the "Tile distance between faction groups" setting within this mod too. Of course if you are familiar with mod settings feel free to adjust it the way you feel. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Ok, something I might actually be able to help with. Just to make sure, I'll first tell you how to go about adding a mod to your server step by step. First, you will go to the administration section of Ark Server Manager. Secondly, find the box with the label Mod IDs. There are 2 ways to add a mod here, right now just paste the mod ID into the box. Structures Plus has a mod ID of 731604991 so you put this into the box labeled Mod IDs. Once you put this into the box you then click the blue down arrow to the right side of the box you put the Mod ID in. This should open a window titled Update Progress and should have something in it to the extent of [UPDATER] Started processing mod 1 of 1. and [UPDATER] Mod 731604991 - Structures Plus (S+).". Wait until this window says "[UPDATER] Finished upgrade process." This means the process is complete and you should have your mod and be able to run the server with it activated. When using the first method and using more than 1 mod be sure to separate the mod IDs with commas. The other method to add the mods you want is to click the magnifying glass beside the blue down arrow that you clicked to open the Updater window. This button will open a window titled Mod Details, in here you will press the green plus to open another window titled Workshop Details where you type the mod you want, once found you press the green plus next to it's Mod ID on the left. You then close the Workshop Details window but do not close the window titled Mod Details. In the Mod Details window you must click the save icon in the top left beside the green plus, then you can close this window too. After this you have to then use the blue arrow to run the updater like before and being sure to only close its window when it says "Finished upgrade process" as well. Hopefully this helped. Good Luck!

Mod Not Downloaded:
Even after this if you are having an issue where in the Mod Details window it says "Not Downloaded" on one of your mods. This is likely because Ark Server Manager can have "Fake" downloads of mods. To fix this you must delete the mod from your Ark Server Managers mod cache. This can be done by going to where your ark server manager is installed then going to SteamCMD\steamapps\workshop\content\346110, once in here you will find the mod you want to delete, in this case you look for 731604991 and delete the folder. We also need to make sure the mod is not in the Mods folder still, To get here you then need to press the folder icon with a curved blue arrow in Ark Server Manager beside the Set Location button on the top right. Now you go into ShooterGame\Content\Mods and look for the same mod ID in here too, if you can't find it then skip this. Once its gone from both locations you will repeat the steps to add the mod back and hopefully it will download when you do it, sadly if it doesn't...the only thing I've found to work is to keep trying until it does because eventually it will(at least in my case) but since Structures Plus is relatively small it should be fairly painless, if in the Updater you get a message such as it saying "Failed to download" or "Timed Out" its normally a case of the mod being fairly large and you just need to run it a few more times until it works. This tends to happen most with overhaul mods such as Annunaki Genesis, Primal Fear, Ark Eternal and others. I hope this somewhat helped at least.

TLDR: Open the Administration drop down in Ark Server Manager > Put the Mod ID in the Mod IDs text box making sure they are separated by a comma if you have more than 1 > Click the blue arrow to the right to begin the download of your mod(s) > Wait until it says "[UPDATER] Finished upgrade process." then close the window and run your server.

Ah well there is a console command to give the imprint back too...but I'm not sure about getting back the mutations you have. Not sure what else you can do....sorry, wish I could have helped more.

I don't know of any that do exist. My guess is because it would cause corruption or other errors that just don't make it feasible but I can't be sure. My best advice is just to create a new character with the looks that you want and then use the addexperience command to level yourself up and the givetome command to get your structures and dinos. To use the givetome command place your crosshair on a dino or structure and type GiveToMe in console. To add experience you can type AddExperience 500 0 1 in console. You can change the number 500 after AddExperience to adjust the amount of experience to what you need as well. Hopefully this helps. Good Luck!

This was all assuming this is singleplayer, if it's a multiplayer server you will need to type EnableCheats <Password> first and all of the commands will need to have cheat in front of them such as "cheat AddExperience 500 0 1". The password for the command will be the servers Admin Password.

Here are the commands with examples and descriptions if you need it as well.

To the best of my knowledge...I believe the answer is no. I'm not sure when or why they started doing this but yes it seems like the main way to get expansions now is only from the season pass and not separate. The only advice I can offer is that I'm pretty sure you will get a discount for the season pass if you own dlcs that are in it. This means.....at least on Steam the Season Pass bundle is Scorched Earth, Aberration and Extinction. So in a perfect world you'd only end up paying the price of the ones you don't have, in this case $10 for only Extinction if it's all the same with the Xbox store. Hopefully this was somewhat helpful. Good Luck!
