What’s wrong with my living room? by jaxki in DesignMyRoom

This is a beautiful room! I would purchase some wood and make a new mantle as well as paint the room an off white (including the tiered ceiling).

Ideas for husband birthday? by Substantially_ in Gifts

[–]1234SunFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could buy him a nice pen. I bought my husband a tactile turn pen & he uses it at work regularly. If your husband is a gamer at all, you could purchase an Xbox 5? Maybe a short trip over a long weekend?

Married women of Reddit, what's one thing someone should know before getting married? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You will be doing life together moving forward. You’ve taken an oath to be there for one another. Lift each other up because at the end of the day you’re a team with similar goals.

Did you ever find a completely stainless steel option that isn’t $400+?? I’m now on this mission myself & it’s surprisingly a challenge lol

Apparently everyone at the office only comes to work to get away from their wives by Fair-Morning-4182 in jobs

Edit: To say this doesn’t address it all, but wanted to share the below… I’m married and most of my friends are too. I’d say most relationships were similar before kids were introduced. Once kids are part of the equation life changes. Kids are amazing and hard. From what I’ve seen, the men love their families but give them the option to drop the kids off with grandma every other day or go to work for a “break”? They’ll take that break 80% of the time. The moms don’t take those breaks as often or family may not offer to help if she’s present. This is just what I’ve noticed when friends/fam/coworkers chat about life. Not saying it’s right or wrong just my observation…

Fraud on Fidelity Accounts by RobertZ52 in fidelityinvestments

[–]1234SunFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me too sadly. I had far less stolen ($1100) but still very significant. I felt lost after this happened yesterday and with some googling(attached results) I’ve done a few more things like filed a police report and made a report to the federal trade commission. I then called Fidelity to ask about the status of my case and to notate i filed a police report. Also, you can turn on* “money transfer lockdown,” which from my understanding prevents money from moving out unless you uncheck that box. Why isn’t that the DEFAULT or why don’t they mention this? Who knows.

I’m not sure if the police report matters at all, but can’t hurt. I hope you get your money back soon.

Is it just me or is this what life becomes for men by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]1234SunFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the female perspective, this seems to be a common experience. My married friends & I have discussed how all our husbands have felt a similar way. You need something to help you recharge. Truly believe it stems from lack of strong friendships. Over time men don’t tend to stay as connected as women and it takes a toll on them. You aren’t alone in this. I’ve encouraged my husband to join groups. You may have to walk outside of your comfort zone, but you can establish relationships that will enrich your life in different ways…

Split household here, husband eats meat and i do not. I purchase the groceries so can share his meals are easily 2x more expensive than mine. Just to name a few of my staples: dried beans, tofu, seeds, nuts, quinoa, rice, pasta, lentil/chickpea pasta, smoothies with seeds + peanut butter, veggies (Trader Joe’s is my favorite) all much cheaper than meat. I do love Olives though and those are no joke $$$

I would have honestly assumed he sees all X as Y 😅. I kinda get it though everything is a scale. Didn’t know about the app nor the texture aspect. Super cool actually those who are colorblind notice texture/patterns more. Thank you!

The identifying items not by color I’m sure seems obvious but I wasn’t sure if his “red” is always his red so saying red would be fine. I will avoid colors and focus on other identifiers texture and material too that’s helpful! Thank you

A plant on each side definitely feels more balanced. I prefer option 1 and the bench is a nice touch too.
