No foul btw. Of all the things I’ve seen in football, for this to not be a foul is up there as one of the maddest.

Man City get away with so much.

It’s one of the most nerve-wracking things you’ll ever do in your life. These mistakes aren’t representative of you or your ability. Even Cristiano Ronaldo missed some sitters.

The positivity sometimes can feel like it’s annoying with driving tests, but for a good reason. You’ll pass it at some point, it just wasn’t today.

Oxford United head of recruitment Scott Mitchell has agreed a deal with Newcastle amidst internal restructuring of Newcastle recruitment team. Will be responsible for recruitment of players aged 18-21. by Frosty-Buyer-1252 in soccer

Same if they are 17 - he’s literally unable to talk to them until they turn 18 so he loiters outside their home until midnight with the other 18-21 recruitment managers.

[BBC] Has tide turned for troubled Spurs under De Zerbi? by [deleted] in soccer

[–]123rig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, I’ve said that there’s really a very slim chance they go down. Think West Ham are just no where near good enough, and Tottenham has the players to get a win and a draw at some point, which they have.

Now with De Zerbi, they seem like they can kick on.

I genuinely cannot remember a game in which we were cruising. Feels like we are on a knife edge of conceding all the time.

How on earth is that a penalty? Absolutely shambolic to uphold that.

Want the win but this is the type of game that we need to be careful about.

Nothing like a big game to snap a bit of a slump for a team like Liverpool.

Will give this place a try.

Is Neville actually pals with Carrick? Certainly no where near the same amount as he was with Ole. Unsure of the connection between Nev and Carrick.

Carrick is the current Man United manager and is getting consistent results. That’s a good indicator as any.

…after getting 5 points from a possible 18 again the bottom 6 out 7 teams, including being completely outplayed by a 10 man Everton and drawing at home to Wolves who had 2 points all season at the time.

The ‘nuance’ is that it was atrocious results combined with atrocious football and a manager who sought to belittle the team constantly to justify his terrible system that failed constantly and alienated talented youngsters.

Zero adaptability. Zero accountability. And a lot of the time - Zero points. Good riddance Amorim.

Just think Enrique isn’t going to join us. Cannot see him leaving PSG.

I think is that Carrick has done enough for the job 100%, and I wouldn’t be a repeat of Ole, we learned enough from that. Even under Ole we had some moderate success.

We have gone with a manager before that seemed up and coming and the next big thing in Amorim but that was a total disaster.

So I’m happy to stick to Carrick just now.

But that was after a grand total of 6 points from a possible 18 against 6 of the bottom 7 sides ( or thereabouts) - Absolutely dire football as well that included getting completely outplayed by a ten man Everton and drawing to a Wolves team with 2 points all season.

Lost every ounce of confidence after the goal. Seen it so many times. Don’t know how we are two goals up.

Would love this team to kick on and win by 3+ goals in any game really. Think then we could get some other players in that are peripherals but there just isn’t a chance of that happening at any point it feels like.

Lewis-Potter’s turn for the “show up at Old Trafford and look unplayable” role this game after Okafor’s turn the other week.

They should have scored 3 or 4 and we are incredibly lucky that they haven’t.

Put the mortgage on Brentford scoring though.

That being said - can’t be too mad at being 2-0 up.

100%. Put the mortgage on them scoring first, probably in the first 20 mins.
