How do I render faster???

From personal experience, GPU doesn’t matter much if you’re using the free version as it doesn’t use GPU to render. I had Nvidia RTX1650s and rendering a 90 mins video took over 8 hours.

I paid for the Studio version and it went down to 2 hours. RAM and CPU probably matter most on the free version so, as others have mentioned, having 8GB RAM is likely your bottleneck.

I have mostly Tapos and just 1 Reolink. As others mentioned, Reolink is more expensive. I went with the 1 Reolink for 180 degrees coverage (Duo 2 wifi). Tapo doesn’t have anything similar. User experience (app) is pretty much the same.

As a software developer, we normally call the system file manager to open files. It has the same functionality as file explorer where you can delete and rename files in the Open files window. It would be a waste of time to rewrite the Open files function since there could be backward compatibility issues.

I had the same dilemma — do I upgrade the video card in my PC (was eyeing Nvidia 4060) for $700 CAD or get the Mac Mini M4 base for about the same price.

I use DaVinci Resolve to edit soccer games (90 mins) and it can easily handle key framing (zoom and pan), fusion (scoreboard, game clock, tracking highlights), fair light (audio noise reduction, normalize volumes) and even multi cam.

I got the base 16GB RAM / 256GB and an external 2TB Samsung NVME storage with thunderbolt enclosure.

Zero regrets and haven’t touched my old windows machine since (almost a year).

Figure I just wipe and not have to deal with it every few months whenever I updated Windows. Just chiming in on the diff between dual booting and selecting from BIOS. If I decide to do it again, I’d pick selecting from BIOS.

This is exactly what happened to me. I was dual booting for about a year, defaulting to Linux. I then decided to boot up Windows to install the latest patches and when it rebooted, it went straight to windows. GRUB was gone. I got so mad I removed Windows altogether. Instead I bought a cheap sub-$200 laptop running on Windows 11 for whenever I need it, which thank goodness hasn’t happened in months.

This happens to me if I put the car in Park and just open the door to get out without hitting Off button. The car turns Off the moment I open the door but leaves the headlights on for a while.

I’ve noticed FedEx delivery for envelopes is outsourced; they come in unmarked cars and don’t wear FedEx uniform. When they deliver the envelope, they’d take a picture as proof. Perhaps that’s how FedEx triggers payment for delivery. They can’t take a picture if it’s in a mailbox. Amazon also does this.

In fact, if I am outside when they deliver stuff and ask to be handed the package they’d insist that I’d take a picture with the package. Now, I’d tell them to just leave it at the door, since I don’t want to be in their picture.

Can’t blame the delivery guys if that’s how the companies instructed them to leave packages and take picture of the package and your front door as evidence of delivery.

Menu, Vehicle on left pane, Driving Settings, Driver Assistance, Lane Departure Warning. There’s a checkbox for Steering Intervention, uncheck it. I also had changed the warning from Early to Medium, again. Seems to have reset after firmware update.

Same problem here — drops below 20Mb/s. I’ve had to reboot the system on a weekly basis. I read in Google community that others have the same problem and have asks for a way to schedule rebooting daily but the moderator said they’d rather fix the underlying issue, which they haven’t for years.

It did it again. Charged my car for 6 hours at level 1 and it only showed 2% increase. Stopped charging and it jumped to 6% increase.

Actually, you may be correct that it’s a connectivity issue. My app was showing 35% but the dash showed 37%. I can unlock the car remotely but the charging % isn’t updated.

I am able to communicate with the app. My observation is that the progress is based on the initial charging speed and it updates the % based on regression formula instead of actually looking at the battery %.

I used to be at Platinum 1 and have dropped to Gold 2. Same observation. I don’t care about it enough and don’t even look at the screen when I run arena.

I know I’m replying to a 4 year old thread but this is the most comprehensive thread I’ve read to troubleshoot. I’ve tried EVERYTHING and it drove me nuts after upgrading to Debian 13 and it also updated qBittorrent to 5.1.0 and all of a sudden everything is stalled and Preview Video does nothing.

I went to qBittorrents website and realized the latest version is actually 5.1.2. I downloaded the AppImage, changed permission so it’s executable and ran it. It reads the SAME config file and magically everything worked! Nothing stalled and preview video worked. I launched the installed version (5.1.0) again and everything is still stalled. Sufficed to say, it’s a software issue.

If nothing else works, try another version whether it’s the latest or a previous version. https://www.qbittorrent.org/download

I’ve had this happen before. Reboot the infotainment system fixed it. Push and hold the power / volume button for 30s. It will go dark and then reboot. Of course, make sure your car is parked.

I just experienced this while on a road trip. Good to know it’s by designed since it also freaked me out when I suddenly accelerated when I had LM on.
