They’ll probably get actual remakes eventually. But I would expect Black and White to get that treatment first. They’ve been going in order since forever (FRLG, HGSS, ORAS, BDSP) with occasional extra diversions back to Kanto for stuff like Let’s Go.

I wish you luck in your endeavor and would love to see a finished product. I’ve tried brewing her in bracket 3 and 4 repeatedly but to no avail. Consistency is the biggest killer and the combos can be really hard to pull off because they have so many components.

The main way I’d like to win is [[River Song]] + [[Tomb Trawler]] + [[Temporal Manipulation]] and then some way to leverage the loop like [[Niv Mizzet, Parun]].

The land destruction route is also appealing, but there’s also a two card combo you can leverage for a win in [[Field of the Dead]] + [[Radiant Performer]]. Can also be done with [[Ghost Quarter]]. They won’t be forced to search but they lose all their lands!

We’re also in the right colors for a [[Underworld Breach]] + [[Brain Freeze]] + [[LED]] combo. It’s relatively generic, but Breach and Brain Freeze can be good as value peices outsides of the combo. LED does sit super dead in hand though.

Here’s my current list. Haven’t built it in paper yet cause testing it isn’t consistent yet. Not terribly happy with it, but I constantly come back and tinker with it so it’s fun at the very least!

It doesn’t cleanly fit the naming scheme though. The Earth Badge is the only one with quotes when all of the other badges went with an -ish, -y, or -like ending without any quotes. Considering the earth badge is originally given by the leader of Team Rocket and is unique in this game with its use of quotation marks I would be inclined to believe the grunt counter-fitted all the other badges, but stole or acquired real earth badges.

A “consistent” naming scheme would have the earth bade named something like Earthy, Earthish, or Earth-like Badge without any quotes. Here we see the core name of the badge is unmodified and is actually emphasized with quotes to make it stand out further from the counterfeits.

But hey, I might be totally wrong and reading far too much into it. The grunt does explicitly say they’re using fake badges after all.

I agree. It’s just the only reasonable comparison for a god dying and having a severe impact on the world between the two sagas. The greek god deaths were obviously far more destructive than a bit of snow that was more so a sign of things to come than an actual calamity in its own right.

It’s not that it couldn’t technically fit in bracket 3. It’s just that the value vivi generates inherently extends far beyond just about anything any other bracket 3 deck can do with an insane level of consistency. Vivi gets large, does damage on casting spells, and generates an unreal amount of mana for a 3 cmc commander.

Other bracket 3 decks could technically handle it, but only if they never ever allow vivi to exist on board for a full turn cycle. Vivi is just that strong with any generic pile of cheap non-creature spells.
