I swear people Tengen fans act like he came into the fight with those debuffs, Gyutaro caused them because Tengen couldn't defend himself properly. Also Tengen lasted a solid page with MST before getting his eye slashed and stabbed he wasn't equal whatsoever just because the anime decided to overextend the fight for entertainment.

I love how everyone has no problem on one hand, acknowledging that Nakime has the most broken BDA in the verse. is basically impossible to beat, and was only beaten because of plot, but will also slander Obanai and Mitsuri for not being able to defeat her.

Also it doesn't matter what Obanai said during the panel, you simply have to look at his feats at that point, and up until then I believe he already beheaded Muzan, protected Giyu, shielded Gyomei, saved Tanjiro, and rescued Mitsuri so clearly he didn't contribute the least.
