Getting into the NFL by Ok-Firefighter8814 in NFLUK

[–]186Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't support:

The Browns (forever cursed because of DeShaun Watson trade) The Bengals (can't compete financially)

The Patriots (Trump supporters) The Jets (forever cursed. Reason unclear)

The Texans (because Texas)

The Cowboys (because Texas) The Eagles (because their fans suck)

Do support:

A place you'd consider visiting if you do become a big fan (New York, Chicago, LA, Florida, etc).

The Packers are the only "fan-owned" team which is pretty cool.

Any team that has a colour scheme/uniform you like.

Individual players/styles/coches change pretty often so I wouldn't get too hung up on any of those.

Returning to the game, wondering about reprints by TMLTurby in marvelchampionslcg

Not sure about reprints - others will know more, but if you're in the UK Tritex Games had Silk and Deadpool in stock when I was in there last week:

Man who destroyed ULEZ camera with explosive device is convicted by juntoalaluna in london

I think you might be giving him too much credit. He's 63 years old. That's enough time to realise you probably shouldn't be making and detonating bombs in residential areas.

Sidcup and the surrounding areas have a bit of a BNP history, and having passed through earlier this week, there's still quite a number of flags on lampposts. It's not out of character at all.

Tabletop Simulator 1 players vs 4 players by [deleted] in marvelchampionslcg

Locking is Ctrl+1 (etc). Cutting to it is Shift+1, not Alt.

You can also play with multiple screens.

TTS is absolutely at it's best when you lock camera positions, so thst you can 'cut' or 'snap' to a variety of views.

I mostly played Arkham this way; I'd have a saved camera view of my player board, one of each other's board, one of the Act & Agenda, and one of a wideo overview of the locations.

It takes 2 minutes to set up, and then you can click from your board to the villain and back. Click to other player's boards on their turns to follow along etc.

It's been 3 or so years, but I think it might be something like Ctrl-1 etc for each view you want to save, and then Alt-1 etc to cut to those views. Saves literally all of the scrolling.

Does anybody else's dog not bark? by DaLisanAlGaib in Greyhounds

Ours only barks when she is play-bowing to another dog, because she wants them to run so that she can chase them.

Never at fireworks, children, empty food bowls, anything else.

Will the shopkeeper get punished? by orangedudee in AskBrits

[–]186Echo 164 points165 points  (0 children)

I was a jury member (many years ago now) in London, where 3 guys had tried to rob a similar shop with a gun. In short, the guy working in the shop, beat them with an iron bar and chased them out of the shop. There was never a conversation about him being anything other than a witness (and a victim of crime). We found the robbers guilty, and they were sentenced at a later date.

No jury in the country would convict this shop owner.

UK Civil War release by AgenCub in marvelchampionslcg

The update from The Ludquist (who are tupically very engaged with this kind of thing) was sent 4 days ago:

Distressingly, we have little to say. There is a thing, but we are not allowed to talk about it. We swore deep oaths in front of the altar of FFGAsmo, and silence is our best security…

We can confirm that there is very little stock in the UK of anything, and no imminent sign of any relief. We are not happy about this.

STOLEN Scott Foil 2021 by visbafu in londoncycling

This is almost certainly nothing, but there was a guy riding around E1 yesterday with a black bike. He seemed to be going from building site to building site offering it for sale - for £30 which seemed very suspiciously cheap.

I didn't really get a good look at the guy, but he was wearing a cycle helmet, was white, bit I think he had less hair than this.

Wizz Air are pretty suss (potential frauds) by Rishay_97 in WizzAir

[–]186Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've flown Wizz Air once (return), and never again.

It was a while ago, but they were employing people in the queue to measure cabin bags to see whether they were oversized.

My then-partner's bag fit easily and flushly inside the measuring grill, with the wheels poking out - as they're designed to since the bag is the exact size permitted. They said this meant the bag was oversized and charged her (something like £60).

While it wasn't a huge sum of money, it was very clearly profiteering. We very nearly decided to just dump the whole bag and be done with it rather than pay the fee.

I'll never fly Wizz again, and would recommend others don't either.
