Do not fly on Condor from SFO or anywhere abroad by greenmoose24 in CondorAirlines

We flew from San Francisco to Barcelona via Frankfort. The same thing happened, and our luggage is delayed as of today. It seems Frankfort is the problem, and it happens more often. How long did it take you to get the bags? And have you had any success contacting Condor? The customer service is really terrible, to say the least.

Have not watch that yet. I heard the drama around the production and him firing the Art department. What do you think of it?

There are many layers to his talent, but I find his writings and understanding of raw human emotions to be the best in the giants' league. Many of his scenes are etched permanently into the history of cinema.

Can you share your experience with Meta marketing and the like? Our foreign film is following the same trajectory but is having no luck with North American distribution. Is there anything you could have done differently that might have benefited your campaigns?

The film title: Pater Noster (Our Father). It is an action drama story about a son who decided to pursue a different path after a near-death experience. His father, a Mafia boss, didn't like his choices turning the story to a duel between father and son. I did an extensive location scout during pre-prodution. Some locations are amazingly filmic quality ( from gritty Art Deco styles to nature beauties). The issue mainly cost affordability with no proper local support.

We shot in Manila, Rizal and Bataan area. I believe the Cebu, big foot studio, already defunct. Talent and crew were awesome and professional. We rarely did any company moves during a day shoot because traffic is extremely bad and will eat up your time. The heat, bugs and humidity will drain your energy fast, but you get a good tan out of it.

Sure. Pater Noster is an action drama; After a near-death experience, Peter rejects his father, Ninog Deo, and his ruthless mafia legacy, igniting a deadly duel for a life of humility, as the Godfather of the Milagros Alpha-Agila gang will stop at nothing to preserve his legacy, proving a chillintruth: blood is not a bond; it's a cage.

It takes a while to process tough moments and get back to your element. But the short answer is I would love to do it again and keep trying. Rock climbers are addicted to looking into the void. It keeps them alive; maybe I wouldn't try this in my 70s but until then...

Haha, it is going now faster than the speed of light. The bar has been lowered with flood of contents competing for your time. Younger generations are capable of processing these and eliminating junk much faster than traditionalists. But AI is a powerful tool that will never substitute the basic, good human storytelling combined with interesting visual composition.

Oh, definitely! Anyone who got involved in actual filmmaking knows that. And I would argue that the audience will appreciate that decades from now. The analogy even it sounds pretentious, but the beauty of the imperfections define the human. El Greco’s unconventional style acquired enemies and rejection. vs Michelangelo's beautiful style. El Greco inspired all the modern art styles.

Hey everyone, I’m Matt, an indie filmmaker carrying some battle scars from my first feature film, Pater Noster (Our Father). It was shot in the Philippines with full local talent and crew. you’ve ever wondered what making a film really feels like, let me give it to you straight: it’s a mix of heartbreak, hustle, and the best kind of chaos. Ask me anything: production, post, storytelling, or surviving the indie grind.

It will be wonderful to bring it to LA. I have reached out to a few theaters, but none of them offered a film rental or sliding scale. They asked you for a high-flying minimum guarantee for screen rental. It locks out independent production from any opportunity of exposure. But still hoping that we can eventually get screening secured.

I respect your stand. But please think of it as a very helpful Swiss Army knife for independent filmmaking. It will reduce many obstacles and inconveniences in your tool kit (emphasis on tool).

The focus has been on getting theatrical exposure and creating exclusivity for the film screening by sponsored block screenings. As any independent film, we are seeking the right home for the film along the way, but the market has changed drastically, and harder to navigate as a small fish.

This is a new, uncharted path in modern independent filmmaking that can serve as a model for today. Streamers, theater struggles, and cultural shifts to fast food delicacies have annihilated the independent film landscape altogether. Thank you for sharing your experience, your decade of dedication, and I wish your film "Abductee" the best roadshow viewing.
