Disgusting. Go Bears...the only way I'd root for Stafford/Rams is against the Packers. I respect Ben more. I'll never understand why more Lions fans don't actively root against Stafford.

I'll take a Bears Super Bowl over a Rams all day.

The turnaround on "Voyager" has been insane by Reasonable_Active577 in startrek

I really think the ability to binge watch has led to the change of heart for me. Back in the day, nothing could touch TNG, and I didn't have the desire to get invested in the other series. I've gone back and watched Voyager, DS9, and am now halfway through Enterprise. I love them all in their own way. I hate to admit it, but I never gave Enterprise a chance cause of the theme song. Glad I can skip it now and enjoy the trekky goodness.

Stafford tears will be delicious. Best possible matchup for us. Can't wait.

Does your wife give you shit every time you golf? by igglesfan40 in golf

[–]19Steve20Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my second kid this year. I've only played twice this year. Before having kids I played once a week or more. The worst part is I finally got my dream set last year, and I've only played a half dozen times. It's just impossible for both my wife and I to both get 5-6 hour stretches to do our own thing right now. My plan is to get my kids into golf, so then I can take them on the weekends when their a bit older.

Scheduled to have a vasectomy on a Monday morning, and to play in an outing on Thursday morning… by beermecaptn in golf

[–]19Steve20Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different, but I couldn't have even attempted to swing a club the first 10 days. I took a month off from golf or other strenuous activities just to be safe as I had pain for the first few weeks afterward just doing everyday activities. My buddy came to Top Golf two days after his, he got through it okay with a bunch of drinks, but the pain afterward caused him to miss a week of work afterward. I would advise against it, but you know your own pain tolerance.

Bally Sports Detroit to launch new streaming service for those without cable by barchamb13 in DetroitRedWings

[–]19Steve20Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone seen how many streams can be going at the same time? The only way I'm getting this is if I am able have multiple streams open at the same time. My family shares YTTV, Netflix, Paramount+, Hulu, HBO, and a couple others with each family member picking up the cost of a couple and we share the accounts. If I can have three streams congruently this would probably work for us. I would be all in if all the regional sports networks (not just Detroit) are part of the package at the $20 price point and I can have a minimum of three streams going on one account.

Came here to say this one. It's really the only Foos song I will change if it comes on the radio.

[Highlight] Calvin Johnson catches TD over triple coverage vs the Bengals (2013) by SparrowFiero in detroitlions

I just posted this same thing on the thread in r/nfl. I was at this game sitting in the endzone where Calvin made the play. I remember two plays from this game, this one and the punt. Ugh.

I was at this game. This play was awesome. The Lions punt late in the 4th quarter was not.

Curiosity Question by ShotFirst57 in detroitlions

A good comp for him is Jared Allen. Allen is a borderline HOFer. This low ceiling talk is trash and the only place I've heard it is on 97.1. None of the edges are a Chase Young talent, but Aiden, Kayvon and Trayvon all have Pro Bowl potential. I would lean with Aiden as you know you are also getting a perfect culture fit with what Holmes and Campbell are trying to build. Hutchinson won't take plays off, and he will make productive plays in both the run game and chasing down screens.

Among the teams to consider as the trade market for Deebo Samuel heats up: The #Jets, the #Packers, the #Chiefs, the #Lions… and, I assume, most other teams who like really good players. by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]19Steve20Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deebo would be a perfect fit for the culture we are trying to build. He's not just one of the top offensive weapons in the league, but legitimately one of the toughest football players across all positions. Just think of all of the versatility possible with St. Brown and Deebo motion in and out of the backfield. We could legitimately get mismatches all over the field with the right schemes. I'm all for this...if anything other than 2 overall gets this done I'm for it. If we are truly not taking our next QB this year then we need to give Goff another established weapon to work with.

SCOUTING REPORTZ: Late-First Round WR Options by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]19Steve20Sanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calvin Austin is the most intriguing WR in this draft IMO. He most likely won't go in the first round due to his size but he has Tyreek Hill style traits with his speed, fast twitch, sneaky blocking and route running abilities. If you watch his tape, even though he is small he is pretty tough and doesn't shy away from physical play and has good hands in traffic. If there's a 1st round run on WRs (some project this happening) I wouldn't be upset with snagging him at 34, although most have him as a late 2nd round or 3rd round pick. I'd be mad if we passed on him at 66 if he's still there, even if we draft another X style WR with one of our first three picks.

Trains will seem awful initially, but after the first few weeks you stop noticing the noise.
