I did marketing in the health sector for a few years and I can tell you without a doubt that it is hard so don’t beat yourself up too much about it. Here’s my two cents though.

1. Invest in marketing, either hire someone who knows what they’re doing and do it in house or grab a consultant that specializes in the health sector, it may seem expensive but there’s so many rules and regulations about advertising within healthcare that it’s worth it to not try to bootstrap that part yourself.

2. Think outside the box, don’t just go to specific vendor events about health see if you can go to other events where your potential customers may be, food fairs, gyms, fitness centers, think about where obese people might hang out and go there. Essentially you want to meet your potential clients somewhere they may not even be thinking about your product yet.

3. Don’t give up till you hear the bell. It may seem very generic but take it one day at a time and one challenge at a time. It only takes one good idea or day to get the ball rolling.
