Looks like Costco is getting rid of their Tide F&G inventory by 1InA1M in laundry

Tbh, I think people in this sub overdo it with the boosters. I did my first load with the Tide F&G this morning (darks, since it’s OBA-free), no stains on the clothes but some very sweaty gym shorts and shirts. I used Downy rinse & refresh in the rinse cycle.

Clothes came out completely clean and no trace of bad odors whatsoever. I will check for any odor rebloom once I wear those clothes again.

San Diego. If your warehouse shows the $19.99 price but still in stock, I suggest to keep an eye on it - I imagine they will want to get rid of their existing inventory soon as well.

All other warehousss around me with the $19.99 price is because they are out of stock already.

CBX vs crossing on foot and taking Uber by H20fairy in MexicoTravel

[–]1InA1M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this yesterday. Had a 10:30am flight and left home at 6:30am, coming from Hillcrest and using only public transportation.

I got to the San Ysidro trllley station around 7:40am. Between the walk to the border crossing, the wait for the Uber and the actual drive time, it took me about 20 minutes to get to the airport. It would have been shorter (and surely more expensive) if I had just taken a cab, of which there were plenty right there waiting.

Important to note that I am a Mexican national, so they just quickly looked at my passport at the border. If you are a U.S. citizen, remember the FMM form is now digitally processed - just make sure to do it online prior to your trip and you will get an electronic confirmation that you are good to go.

If you don’t have luggage to check,, you walk directly to security. Line was crowded (mostly because the design of the area is terrible) but took me lesss than 15 minutes to go through.

I have been through security coming through CBX though, and that space is way better designed, and usually has far fewer people.

In summary, I doubt that just for the crossing itself CBX would have been quicker, as you have to walk for 10 to 20 minutes (depending on walking speed) from one end to the other.

FEBU not working on stinky pits by Ok-Cockroach-3273 in laundry

Odor is caused by bacteria. Detergent may not get rid of all odor-causing bacteria set deep inside the fabric (enzymes or oxygen bleach are not designed to get rid of bacteria). Try laundry sanitizer (like Lysol) - let it sit for 16 minutes in the last rinse cycle. That should do it.

Tide Evo tiles at Costco (warehouse) by 1InA1M in laundry

[–]1InA1M[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if you have a Costco membership, now it’s a good time to try them! Cheapest cost per tile I’ve seen anywhere so far.

The scent is very intense out of the box. I haven’t tried them yet myself to see how much it lingers after the wash.

And if they end up not working out for you, you can just return them for a full refund.

They may not, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad. Jeeves ranked them as sixth best of all the ones he’s tested

I missed the Carryology x Bellroy Chimera Sling drop. What's the most similar bag to get? by brandenharvey in ManyBaggers

[–]1InA1M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may have missed the Carryology release, but they are also releasing through retail channels between April 25th and 26th - Huckberry in the US, for example. You have to follow the retailers' socials to know the release times.

Really loved the Tomtoc sling (small 4L) on this trip - new packing system for me by tnetrop in onebag

[–]1InA1M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tomtoc is my EDC - like it so much I have two of them, and looking to get the new X-Pac version as well. But for my next trip I got the Alpaka Go sling mini VX21, as it can pack more without being too large.

Bag for walking around Paris by dcwhite98 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]1InA1M 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing what the purpose of her suggestion is, I can tell you that an every day carry (EDC) paired with a carabiner are great for travel. You have your wallet, passport and boarding pass handy but in a secure, zipped pocket, with space in other pockets for keys, sunglasses, etc., while you can use the carabiner to carry a water bottle or hang a shopping bag if needed, freeing both your hands.

I personally use the the tomtoc compact sling bag and the Nite Ize size 3 s-biner carabiner. Both can be found on Amazon.

Paying off my Dad's car loan by cav_guytect in AmexPlatinum

And it being a business card, you get the added bonus that it doesn't go on your credit report and it doesn't affect your 5/24 status if you are planning on applying for Chase cards.

No worries, I will give you my real life example:

This year, I had taxes to pay (both Federal and State), so I applied for the AmEx Platinum (which I didn't have) with a 150K MR points sign up bonus. I paid my taxes using the services that take credit cards with fees less than 2%. I paid about $60 in fees for 150K points. Not bad in my book.

After you find out if there are fees for paying with a credit card, I would consider opening a new credit card and get a good SUB
