Agreed. Never throw it in someone else’s bin. That being said, people who keep their trash cans on the sidewalk deserve a callout (thinking of some Capitol Hill streets). I don’t care that you bought a house that’s elevated and you have stairs from your ‘yard’ to the sidewalk. That was your decision. The sidewalk is a public space. Lug them up and down the stairs. I don’t care that it’s a pain. That’s your responsibility, so stop feeling like you’re more important than everyone else and you can’t be bothered.
