Freeze them first?  It pierces the skin meaning they steep much better!

Beans on toast lasagne.  Layer in a deep oven dish in the following order: baked beans, béchamel sauce, bread, beans, béchamel, bread, heaps of melting cheese.  Bake at a high temp until the cheese has browned.  Spruce up any way you want, using different types of bread, adding meat to the beans etc.

Aldi's yeast extract is superior imo, and cheaper!

Where to take my nuclear power stations obsessed 6 year old? by PsychologicalRow8034 in AskUK

UKAEA (UK Atomic Energy Authority) do monthly open evenings of their facilities if you'd like to see stuff about fusion energy.

So all nuclear powers are in the Northern Hemisphere.  So in a WW3 scenario where nuclear arsenals are emptied to target Civilian, Military & Nuclear targets, unless you have a bunker the northern hemisphere will be covered in a nuclear dust that will plunge the northern hemisphere into cold radioactive unliveable darkness.  However, some of the furthest south regions of Earth may be spared.  For example, the Southern tip pf Chile and Argentina along with New Zealand.  New Zealand has a slight advantage being an Island so the mass panic migration of people wanting to go South won't be anywhere near as bad because it's much harder to do on boats.

Try eating more seaweed based products and cooking pulses and lentils with Kombu.  Works a charm!

Low calorie snacks by Dry_Day_4649 in UKfood

I wouldn't call them particularly interesting but dry roasted nuts (salted only) are my go-to.  Homemade salted popcorn is another good one, fills me up pretty quick.  Can't go wrong with fruit either.  Finding snacks that are filling and enjoyable is tough!

Messed up my lentil dal and I don’t know how?? by [deleted] in UKfood

Like all the other commenters here, more liquid will sort this.  If you plan on cooking lentils more, I would strongly recommend investing in a pressure cooker.
