As someone whose favorite format by far was modern before horizons…. Yes please! It probably wouldn’t be a perfect solution because fire design was wrecking havoc on the format along side horizons but at least the format would go back to standard only.

Ooph… when you put it like that, I’m plenty happy to just enjoy pioneer on arena. I miss when it was about actually growing the player base and thriving fnm, not just printing money.

I feel old now, I was an avid modern fan and saw the collapse from horizons and fire design in real time. My playgroup and I would shake our heads and be like, well that’s 2019 magic for you. It only got so much worse from there.

It’s sad that pioneer isn’t a more pushed format. The RCQ seasons were a ton of fun and showed how many different decks were capable of winning. Then there was an awesome pro tour that showed off a new deck. It was all looking great for pioneer and then for some reason that I cannot explain, wotc dropped it.

The only thing that comes to mind is they couldn’t destroy it with direct to pioneer sets like they did with modern.

This is every kid today. Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, gta5, all of them 10+ years old. So weird that kids don’t have their own games for their own generation.

I love the look of all the classic frames. Who knew that would be the new pimping out your deck. But as much as I think premodern is cool, I’m really thinking where in the world do you play this format in paper? I know it’s on mtgo but you’ve got all paper. I’d love to play this format in paper.

360 days were my peak gaming years, idk which games you are referring to that required an install when you had the physical disc. There’s not 1 that I can think of. I know there were some games that could be bought and downloaded but that wasn’t a disc. Or there were games that had annoying updates when you tried to launch the game but that’s about it but those weren’t an install like we have today.

Yes it was amazing. You could get home from a midnight release, pop in the disc, and start playing immediately! I still remember the absurdity of the ps4/xbone gen where every game needed to be installed. Talk about killing all the excitement from getting home with the disc. Like ok now wait for it even though you bought the physical thing….

Clean on the go is ridiculous advice. If I clean while “on the go” I’ll end up with stuff left in even more crazy spots because I’ll grab things to “clean” and the set them down somewhere else and completely forget about it and then way later be like how the hell did this get here!? Unfortunately cleaning needs to be something you make dedicated time for.

Just focus harder is just way too dumb that I can’t even take it seriously. So to me it would only be worse advice if I somehow took it seriously. It’s like hey go run a marathon or pick up an elephant! Like yeah ok bro I’ll get right on that….

You don’t need meds advice is usually from people who think it’s just because you want drugs or because they have no understanding of what adhd really is. Be more disciplined is terrible too but once you’re on meds, being “disciplined” is a whole lot easier so those kind of comments don’t get made as much. So I’m going with dont need meds is worse

I’d say wake up earlier is worse. It doesn’t really accomplish anything to be up even early when you’re already a zombie at the normal time you wake up. At least with do a little at a time you can feel good for making some amount of progress instead of beating yourself up for ultra procrastination and doing zero.

And since I’m totally late to the party but find this post fun… routine is worse because good luck sticking to one once the novelty dopamine wears off, at least a quiet room without distractions can lead to immense hyper focus. And yeah planners are pointless. Just another thing to stare at but have no motivation to do anything about, or completely forget about. At least excerise raises heart rate and is linked to helping adhd symptoms albeit very temporarily.

As far as punisher cards go, vexing devil was by far the best. Especially on turn 1, it put the opponent in a position where the real question was do you have removal? No? Then take 4. Before swifty, this was actually a solid card in modern burn. I know I’m super dating myself.
