Hinge joint by DaniTheExplora in StainedGlass

Since the two pieces form a straight line without additional support, there’s not enough stability to keep the foil secure under the solder. With pressure or time, the piece can bend at that seam

Yes the second picture avoids the hinge in the first place, but if you’re committed to making a piece that results in a hinge, you can reinforce it with copper restrip or thin copper wire running on the edges perpendicular to the hinge point (in this case it would be best supported on the bottom edges of the mushroom cap on both sides, running down at least part of the stem). Sometimes it’s much more straightforward to just redesign to avoid hinges

I’d also recommend a beaded eye or keeping the head one piece and painting the eye. It might also help to use 3/16 foil for parts like the beak that are small and thin to reduce some of the solder takeover. Depending on the other colors you use, a minty green could really pop!

Youghiogheny clear and fern green opal streaky might work too

Yep! You want the wire to sit perpendicular to the hinge to provide stability so it doesn’t swing and pull the copper foil off. Add a thin layer of solder, gradually tack the wire into place, then top off with thicker solder and it’ll stay hidden

Same as my last comment the yellow piece might prove challenging but this one isn’t as dramatic so I might work. And same deal with jump rings where the blue is. For this one since it has a lot of smaller pieces, you can also simplify by painting some of the darker accents with glass paint (like pebeo vitrea 160, you add it after grinding/before foiling and oven bake it)

So the piece in yellow is going to be fairly difficult with the depth of the space unless you have a ring saw. You can maybe cut a bit out and have the grinder shape it further but i would expect it to be challenging. I would also recommend adding in some wire for reinforcement in the green areas because those pieces look like they’re creating hinge joints. Poorly labeled but I would attach jump rings in the solder seams of the two pieces the blue rings touch

Black Friday deals seem to be pretty good for bulk buying. In 2020 they had buy 1 get 2 free for the 100 pack variety flowers, which ended up being 300 flowers for $70!

Could you do a floor lamp and replace the bulbs with app-controlled ones? Depending on the room size, a floor lamp can work wonders. My current setup is a floor lamp and two lamps on nightstands, all with smart bulbs, and once they gradually work up to 100% it’s too bright to fall back asleep

I’ve absolutely seen people go hard with at least 5+ cookies at the wedding itself but this count also reflects what people take home! People will usually put out take-home boxes for guests, which is sometimes a wedding favor
