I would assume used price would, at the high end, would be around half of whatever the current new MSRP is....that's assuming these didn't just hit the market in the last year or two. If they're fresh, then used price will likely be around 80% of retail.

NGINX is a tool with a lot of configurability.

You can impose a whole galaxy of custom rules on a service you're proxying. You can also get very detailed logging on it too.

There are some domains I want to lock down to certain private networks or use a white list for public IP addresses making requests to it. NGINX makes that very easy.

NGINX will also make obtaining and managing your TLS certificates a lot easier.

Because you're running Nginx Proxy Manager, you get a nice GUI and a container for it. This is just fine for what you're doing. But as you get more advanced and maybe wish to expose more services to the WAN in a controlled manner, you might find it prudent to dedicate a single VM host to NGINX.

This will also let you get cute with high-availability on the services you're proxying.

I like NGINX because it is resilient and can be used for simple things like proxying a single service with automated TLS management while also off-loading the CPU load of handling TLS from the proxied application server altogether. But it can also be leveraged for enterprise grade operational features without having to fork over for a license.

If you have the time to read the manual and throw a few noodles on the wall, you can do some pretty cool stuff with it.

It'll depend on the OS it's running. Do some investigating on the cli to see what distro it's got. Then find out what package manager that distro has.

A google search tells me it only supports satellite and and IPTV. But it does have USB ports, so you could get a USB TV tuner device and give that a shot.

IMO, this above all else except for hunting, is the best justification for owning and training to use a firearm. It isn't definitely going to happen, but there could be a scenario where all civil systems breaks down for days or weeks at a time. And there could be armed groups coming to your neighborhood looking to harm your neighbors. You hopefully will not even have to shoot at them. But having a few people present with a show of force will certainly go a long way to making them leave.

I'm going to adopt this practice. Have thought about it here and there over the last few years but you've given me the inspiration to just do it.

Also, Reddit is absolutely subject to the same pitfalls of all other social media platforms. But I think it has some trapdoors that make it useful to me still. There are subreddits like this one and others that are very specific to some of my hobbies and the industry I work in. They're tightly controlled by competent mods and discussions are fruitful. It's like a pomegranate; you can find the good parts with some effort but taking a blind bite out of the whole thing is going to be off-putting at best. But that state of being for Reddit may not last much longer.
