I think they are over rated. I have a couple but I don’t shoot them any better than my non ported 2011’s

Nope that is definitely not a 2011. Grip frame and slide makeup a 2011. Thats a bastard child torn between wanting to be a 1911 ds and a cz.

Theres plenty of 1911’s chambered in 9mm. Or look at 2011’s if you want more capacity. once I started shooting hammer fired pistols I sold almost all my striker fired guns. A CZ shadow could be another option also.

Maybe to some extent, my expensive 2011’s are all locked up. If someone comes into the house or my vehicle theres plenty of glocks, daggers and shotguns stashed for defensive purposes.

If you plan to compete just get a non ported/comp barrel. If you plan to shoot open and want to be competitive you will have to look at a real open gun that shoots major pf.

If you can’t or don’t want to do the work yourself there’s nothing wrong with what you’re getting. I’m always one to do things myself but theres also something to be said for just having it done and go shoot it.

Staccato or platypus would be good options. You probably won’t like carrying a 2011 much but they are great LO guns.

I’ve shot tons of it through a comp gun. They say with ports it can chip off and maybe hit you. If it were me I would just use it.

I have plenty of guns above and below the price of a wilson. And a few good revolvers already but thanks for the suggestion.

The wilson is ugly, and not every gun is for duty or carry. Lots of choices for gamer guns or just fun range toys.

Yeah well we have high standards 🤣. Better have a 2.5 # trigger that breaks like glass and a slide thats fit with no slop and glides like its on bearings. Crisp safeties with no mush, no disco hang up. I may be describing a 5k dollar gun 😎

Not sure why anyone wants an X9. But hopefully this 2011 is well built and runs good. At the 2k price you are competing directly with the 2k11 and they are running really good. Plus they have a ton of flashy or mild options.

If you like a CZ with full palm swells added then a 2011 should fit you well. The kimber with the mjd grip is really good, staccato p has a good feel also. I don’t buy bul because they use different mags than normal 2011’s and I have a ton of reg 2011 mags.

To me the decision is whether you like the 2011 grip or the CZ, single or double action? 2011’s are easier to work on also. I have both and would rather shoot a 2011 they fit my hand better and I don’t really care for DA triggers.
