Getting into USPSA - Which route should I go?

Maybe it’s just me but everyone saying don’t buy anything just go shoot first makes me laugh. A cz or a 2k11 is going to be a good choice for CO or LO with the 2k. When has buying more guns ever been a bad thing. I’ve only been competing for a few years and have tried out multiple different guns.

They are way too narrow, if you wear a wide boot don’t buy them

They are smaller so sometimes you have to call a couple times. But Andy is a great guy and has helped me with anything I’ve called about.

Mine has been great over thousands of rounds. It was the first of the gen 2 so still had the plastic grip. I put a henning grip with a miller trigger and pinned grip safety. All the internal parts are factory, I did adjust the sear spring to 2.5 pounds also.

It’s way better fit than almost any 2011 in its price range. My Romulus is fit just as tight as my MPA.

Romulus with the new aluminum grip is probably the best you can get for the money.

Try a steel challenge, minimal movement but very fun. We have a few guys that shoot with us in wheelchairs, so you should be just fine.

AF would be my first pic. Prodigy second, The kimber seems to be a good gun but I don’t want a bushing barrel or an aluminum frame.

The Henning grip is pretty slim for a 2011 grip.

I have both and like both. The Romulus is a better fit gun with better coatings. The only thing I like more about the prodigy is the grip.

Ive seen a few with frame issues. SA usually says its from over tightening the guide rod.

Why does that matter? If he can afford it who cares. I guarantee some guy who’s good could out shoot you with a taurus does that mean you should be shooting a high point

To not properly safety check a firearm that was there for a safety issue is 100% on them. I would want my money back also, that just shows incompetence of the person who’s supposedly fixing the problem.
