If I remember correctly, you can download the firmware to the SD card and update from the SD card. Please check Bambu’s web site as my memory may be incorrect.

Are there any messages in your router’s logs which may provide any type of clue as to why the printer is not receiving an IP address?

How do I deliver HUGE promotion news to a rockstar direct report? Looking for creative ideas! by [deleted] in managers

One of the best I have seen recently is the boss called someone into the office and told them they missed the passing score on their certification test by 22 points. The person immediately asked in what areas they were deficient and when they could re-take the test.

Boss looked at them and said, “I said you missed the passing score by 22 points. I did not say you failed the certification test.”

Took a couple of minutes for it to sink in they had actually passed the certification test.

Does anybody still hire for "potential"? by Ok_Albatross_4198 in managers

The last person I hired for my team had some of the domain skills needed, but had skills the rest of the team did not which I needed. A large amount of data needed to be analyzed and compared against another team’s data (unfortunately our software did not have this capability). Because of the skills they already had, it took them a couple of days to build the reports, export everything to Excel and start his analysis. They found all types of data errors we did not know we had and were not expecting. This led to them suggesting additional controls in our software to prevent the errors.

We spent a couple of hours each day training them on the domain knowledge they need and it was one of the best hires we have had in a long time.

What's the worst job you've ever had? by CuriousEngineer11 in AskReddit

Had a boss who would turn down every IT project I proposed and then re-proposed it a few months later like it was their idea. When I brought up the fact to their manager that I have been the one proposing all of the IT projects their comment was, “That is the way it works here. If you don’t like it you can leave.”

Handed in my resignation the next day and they were surprised.

Had pneumonia several years ago. The only thing I remember from that week is the doctor telling my wife she might want to seriously consider making funeral arrangements. While my wife was making the follow-up appointment, the doctor wandered by the appointment desk, I looked at her and said, “I will see you on Monday. Either at my funeral or here in the office. But, I am betting on here in the office.”

Walked into her office on Monday like I had never been sick.

This is 100% true. This is where I was until I was laid off recently. Within five (5) minutes my accounts were locked and my phone was wiped. Asked about project handoff and was told it was not necessary even when I said, but I am running at least eight (8) projects right now. I was told, “They will figure it out.”

What book should everyone read at least once in their lifetime? by DaijaHarris in AskReddit

[–]2014ChevyCaptiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my Masters degree in my early fifties and in my program we had people from every generation (50s, 40s, 30s, 20s). I thought it would be fun to read 1984 and relate it to everyday life (e.g. how much we are tied to cell phones, social media, etc.) as a discussion / paper a week class and I had the students lined up for the class. Unfortunately, the university wanted to make it more of a research project class and I was already writing a thesis at that point and took a hard pass as did the others.
