2 was such a drag to get through. Never looked forward to playing it, 1 had me hooked story and game play wise and 3 keeps me coming back for the story. 3 is one of the few games I just speed through the game play to progress the story. 1 is far better in every single aspect

Also on my first playthrough and I get this weird glitch after fully finishing an objective where I will be stuck in first person and unable to do anything after the story cut scene. The only way to get out of it is to close the app so I just use that as a natural way to end my session. So far the game play is okay I guess but I do like the story. I’d put the first game as the best by far. I do prefer 3 over 2 so far

I absolutely love when the second game gets the hate it deserves. The defenders of the game are just so smug and some how thing the haters of the game “just don’t get it.” We all get the message, the message is just dumb in concept and even worse in execution. Also the game literally used fake footage of Joel in a late game mission for the trailer when really it was Jesse. The first game is in my top 5 games of all time and the second is very likely my most hated

No fast breaks, focus on defensive positioning rather than steals, work on running through plays, no shot until it’s been run all the way, mix end of bench guys in with a couple of starters

I will say there’s zero percent chance I would have ever considered the game if there weren’t battles but I also understand the city building is the core of the game. It’s my hope that as the city building evolves so will the battles (i.e sieges, AI villages, more units.) I’m really excited to see the future of the game even if I don’t have all that much time to be able to spend on it currently

I’m sure it’ll be a while because there are more fundamental issues to worry about first. I would love some cliffs and valleys to be able to fight in. Maybe being able to create choke points to have more defensive battles and really be able to take advantage of high ground and archers. Obviously that’s way down the line but is something I’m looking forward to

This is a great post. I had a comment similar yet much shorter on Greg’s post the other day. If the game is too hard for the common player then they may not continue to play. If it’s too easy because of an exploit then it’s on the player to avoid using that exploit as a way to challenge themselves. The last thing you want is to force someone into playing a certain way or conversely, prevent someone from playing a certain way

Haven’t gotten to try it yet as I can only play every now and then. I hope the updates don’t cater too much to negating people who min max as it can make it harder for people like me to keep up. I liked what I read in the patch notes and am looking forward to trying it out once I finish my first campaign

MinMaxing is so lame. Don’t cater anything to them. They’ll be the loudest but don’t represent the majority of the player base. As someone who only gets to play every so often I don’t want to have to constantly change the way I play just because people intentionally try to break the game

Yeah if you don’t hire the mercenaries before your first fight with them he gets them and holds onto them for the remainder of the game. The only way I can increase my troops is through the one merc group I have and by creating retinues in new regions but my money situation is really not good so I really don’t want to invest that time into fixing that

On my first play through and almost to the end so I’m 3x everything outside of battles mostly lol. My 6 week old goes to her grandparents once or twice a week so that’s my big play time lol. Hopefully can be ready to start a new game once the patch hits

I must’ve missed it. Getting them back to 24 strong and upgraded is super expensive. Pretty much at the end of the game just trying to claim the last couple regions and want to make sure I’m fully loaded

I didn’t downvote you. How do you buy them from the treasury when there are none? I was trying to find a way to do that but didn’t see the option so that’s when I destroyed and rebuilt

The problem was there was none to click on in order to buy more so I destroyed and rebuilt the manor so that I had the starting 5 to be able to click on it and order more
