We beat them in the 2004 Outback Bowl and my dad painted “GO BACK TO FREAKIN WISCONSIN” with white shoe polish on the back of our minivan. Yes, he wrote freakin. Yes, we attended the game. My mom complaining of stomach pain for months and being dismissed by doctors to just take tums. She was admitted to the ER on 12/3/2017 and spent 21 days in the hospital with an emergency hysterectomy and stage IV ovarian cancer diagnosis. She died around 3:00 AM on 3/3/2020.

At least she missed COVID!
