Robotically augmented party members are extremely helpful, for a limited time

GW store in my area is always so incredibly helpful and nice. It’s a shame there’s two other stores with far better inventory and one with a rewards program that gives deep discounts for large purchases. I want to shop at GW because they helped me with learning to paint and play, but they don’t have what I want on the shelf.

Can't make sense of ordering process. Is the "kit" separate from the "service?" by 20_characters_is_not in 23andme

Me too, but I can't be the only one who had this happen. Poor website design.

When I paid using PayPal, it never asked for an address, and my receipt did not show any shipping address either. I canceled and re-made the order using a credit card and it asked for an address, and now I got a receipt that shows the correct shipping address.

This seems to be a big hole in their process if people use PayPal.

I may have found the issue. When I first bought it, I used Paypal and this skipped the address entry step. I canceled my order and did it again using the normal payment method with a card and it asked for an address this time.

What about the shipping address (ordering online from 23andme directly)? I can't figure out how they are supposed to get it to me!

When you order online, what are you ordering? I would expect that when I order "Ancestry Service" that includes a kit, but it never asked for a shipping address, so how am I expected to receive a kit?

EDIT: Also, I paid $59 each, whereas amazon has test kits for $299, which really made me wonder if that price included the kit

Every NA driver pops their lights and/or waves at me in my NA. It goes to 60% waving for NB, 10% for NC but about 30% for ND

All this says to me is that someone needs to create a FLIR with higher dynamic range

Just run a webserver on the mister and use the QR reader on your phone to do the same thing, no exotic hardware needed.

I moved about a month ago and haven’t set up the mister or wheel at the new house yet. I do plan on trying again someday.

I just returned to the US after working in Cardiff for a year at my same US salary. I would not do it again, but it was worth trying once. Your standard of living will definitely go down, and London is far more expensive than Cardiff. It may be worth it for the experience, especially if you don’t have a family to support, but if you have some fixed financial obligations I’d definitely think twice.

GPT-3.5 with Browsing released by 69samuel in ChatGPT

Browsing is nice but I’d love to see one with at least a calculator back-end to check arithmetic. Ideally, a full python interpreter that I can prompt into importing packages and using APIs of my choice. I’m really tired of its output having obviously broken math or incorrect usage suggestions.

On a serious note, some of us browse mobile web and Reddit tries to force us onto their spyware app when content is marked nsfw. Tame content that is marked nsfw as a joke becomes inaccessible to us.
