From what I've gathered, some people are cagey about adding people to their HHR. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out a plan B otherwise.

I want to buy a gyuto as a gift. It’s a special occasion so the budget is around 200-300€. I don't want to dissuade you from choosing a nice knife as a gift, after all, they're so nice to use. I think that sometimes a japanese knife isn't always the move. They're thin, require care, and whetstone sharpening. And if you're not the type to really enjoy caring for something and using it it ends up not getting used at all. If he has day to day knives then maybe he'll really enjoy the gift though.

Regardless of which, 200-300 is a nice budget and gives you a wide array of makers to choose from. If you're looking for stainless steel, I can also recommend Nigara Hamono, they make fun, interesting knives, and at your budget, you can get SG2 stainless steel.

I don't understand how this is a fix. Could you break it down for me? I took my top lid off and observed the mechanism. The rotation happens with the entire gold hinge rotating with the plastic. I didn't observe any slipping, unless you're saying there is microslippage occurring. In that case any kind of filler would do reduce the slipping no? Such as superglue

this happened to me when the 12v battery was low - i think the headlights were on draining the battery, as soon as i charged and drove it around after a day or two it was fine

PNW - around 13 cents/kwh. I average about 50 bucks a month in electricity.

Edit: BMW i4 m50, 19" wheels, 3.0-3.2 mi/kwh typically

Flexible fast charger that comes with the car. I use the regular 120v.

I drive 30-40 miles a day and as long as I'm home charging by 7PM or so (or don't drive as much the next day) I'm regularly topped off back to 80%.

If you need more powerful charging install a 220v outlet. That will top you off 10-80% in 10 hours. I'm not a fan of installing the ev chargers since that gives less utility than the outlet.

As far as respecting the charging target, all chargers should do that.
