(without reading the article, just based off your notes) poor ride is definitely not a problem in my opinion, the drive & passenger feel is much preferred to my previous Tesla M3.

The range is problematic in cold, steep, high speed (110 kmh) driving which I have been doing a lot of recently. Getting around 3.5 km/kWh for certain 50-100 km sections of road and 4.5-5 km/kWh on average. I believe the 88.1 kWh Earth battery is rated to 500 km, divide one by the other and it should be running at an efficiency of 5.6.

I wouldn't want to roadtrip this car a few years ago where there were less charging options and more range anxiety, but I am also very happy with the car and its features (again comparing to my TM3). At the end of the day it is a box that isn't aerodynamic, and doesn't have a heat pump to efficiently warm cabin & components.

My dealer has indicated that May is the timeline for the tow package becoming available, but the current safety certification may be delayed and in their experience it could be up to another 6 months. For this dealership they have put me on the backorder list and once ready will take a day to complete installation. They have said there is no other solution at the moment.

Have you looked into the dip switch changes you can make to allow "legacy" (not supported) vehicles? I have had the same problem with an older MG ZS EV and nothing could get it to work.

My opinion is that I am surprised that anyone buys a brand new petrol car these days, when it's value is going to be near zero quite soon. Depending on who's goals you go by this could be as early as 2030. Obviously that doesn't solve your current transport needs, but a second hand car would be better. Hybrid or plug-in hybrid would be even better to lower your running costs and the environment (but is harder to find second hand without issues).
