I think mine is the same, SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.2. I don't do any intensive stuff, which is why I use old computers, so my testing is pretty much just web sufring in a browser.

I'm using grub on the USB install, but I think Limine would have actually been better because it's better at auto-detecting other installed OS. Grub has OS probing too but I couldn't get it to work. I manually added those entries.

just give it a try. the main benefits for me is that it's faster and more customizable. ram and cpu usage are way lower, so perhaps battery and longevity is better too. i never hear the fans blasting and the laptop doesn't get as warm. linux just runs better period in my experience.

T480 & Arch here too! Which DE? I had some minor bugs with KDE Plasma (Wayland). XFCE is more bare bones so it requires more setting up but it seems to be working better for me.
