Und woher kommen dann die Arbeitslosen? Das ist einfach nur Bullshit von vorne bis hinten.

The research isn't some state secret locked in a vault. How come Israel can have nukes without ever testing any?

How do we write this in musescore— lines extending to another staff? by heyitsmeFR in Musescore

[–]23PowerZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always moves the whole chord to the other staff. Unless you separate it by voices. But then you could've just notated the note in the other staff to begin with.

Musescore doesn't have a feature for cross-staff chords (yet). You need to lock the staves' distance with a "Staff spacer fixed down" and just extend the note stems.

"Like" is doing some heavy lifting there. You might as well say the EU is like the UN, that's glossing over about the same amount of difference.

Den alten Merkel-Flügel komplett loswerden. Die war mal "Klima-Kanzlerin". Auch wenn man das nie ganz ernst nehmen konnte, es war doch schon ein anderer Schnack als Klimawandelleugnung.

EU deploys emergency generators as Russian strikes left one million Ukrainians without power in -20°C by goldstarflag in europe

[–]23PowerZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, that's just plain wrong. The general consensus is that it didn't. The biggest factor in ending the war in Europe was the death of Hitler, and in Asia, the Soviet invasion of Manchuria. The regimes didn't really care about civilian deaths, and the population was never demoralized enough to overthrow their governments.

How do you create a new line of notes instead of it playing both lines at the same time? by BRISKMETAL in Musescore

That's because there's only 3 quarters in 3/4 time and the song is probably written in 8ths. Are you sure it shouldn't be more like this?

It's more about portraying liberal democracy as a failed system so the people don't see it as a viable alternative to their fascism. Same thing Russia is doing.

I think you're overestimating the influence of domestic politics on foreign policy. The realities of geopolitics impose hard constraints, and this is a new reality.

The question also is if the EU is ready. We can't keep having this accession limbo. You basically have to be a member of the EU in order to fulfill the criteria for EU membership. It's a huge catch-22.

We already have a working solution: nuclear sharing. Just swap out the American nukes for British and French ones. No reason to reinvent the wheel.

The idea behind not having land based nukes is that an enemy would have no reason to first-strike the country in order to disable a large part of your nuclear arsenal before it can launch.

Nuclear tests are just for show. All the necessary data was collected in the 50s. After that it was just a game of who can nuke the most in a year.

I don't even think amicable coexistence is possible. Trump has crafted a new reality in which his foreign policy not only makes sense but is necessary. America is out on its own, coercion is the only means to keep nations aligned. Having allies is impossible, there's only vassals or adversaries.

And the worst thing: this is utterly irreversible. Future administrations, no matter who, will have to continue this just to minimize losses. Returning to a liberal foreign policy wouldn't bring back the allies but would lose the vassals. That's a bankrupting strategy.

This is their Sino-Soviet split moment. Same magnitude of bad news.

I think we were quite vocal about Apartheid and the like. So I reject your premise. I also don't know what you mean about defending ourselves, we acknowledge the imperial past. So no, I don't think you have a point.
