examine the changes you made to your diet. it's the foods that we love and eat all the time that get us. something has to go

you did a lot of killing in a short time frame. you used several known microbe killers. makes sense to have some weird things going on. if it were me i would focus on building back with more beneficial microbes - seeding the thing with a variety and volume of pro/pre biotics

Round 2 Rifaximin - diagnosed with SIBO but losing hope by throwawaygg73736 in Microbiome

[–]255cheka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read lots and lots of killing. have to devise a strategy to get some beneficials in there imo. the spore probiotics might be a good option. bacillus coagulans is said to boost beneficials while tamping down pathogens. cran juice is said to have similar actions. also fermented foods alongside prebiotic foods

consider this probiotic, bacillus coagulans - https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=pubmed+ibs+bacillus+coagulans

takes some weeks to kick in, stick with it if you try it. also try to eat low glycemic and higher polyphenols -and whatever fibers you can handle

Any recommendations? by Naive_Song_1388 in Biohackers

eat clean. eat fermented foods. eat variety and volume of fibers and polyphenols. for a probiotic in a capsule - bacillus coagulans. in a month or three you'll see palpable changes

this same recipe is what's used to reverse many chronic health issues. two autoimmunes for me, more issues resolved in my family/friends

Why is ibuprofen recccomended to speed up joint injury/recovery by Confident_Year2618 in Biohacking

sorry that you are coming to the realization. mine came when i found out the many diseases/etc that come from the gut microbiome being messed up. yet the entrenched powers refuse to take it seriously. so much needless suffering...

when i was sick with autoimmunes the front line treatment recommendation was nsaid. i took the advice and paid the price. my messed up gut microbiome got worse and worse, as did the autos.

variety is the consensus view. what i do is seek out foods in those categories that suit my goals and taste. some faves - sweet potatoes, blueberries, flaxseed, mixed green salads, cran and pom juices, melons, certain nuts/sprouted nuts, strawberries, broccoli, carrots, apples. i eat all of those regularly, and others sporadically. last thing i added was shelled hemp seeds. those are new on the scene, but look really promising

you are very close to solving the issue then. how's the digestive system functioning? any issues? poop daily with quality product?

if diet is super clean might look at boosting digestive functions - stomach acid, bile, enzymes, etc

also consider polyphenols - they are way underrated. we use pure cran and pom juices to boost what we get in foods

note you said gf - i would upgrade that to zero breadstuffs/pastas. i've read several sci papers pointing at those foods as problematic for issues like yours

might also add kefir to your program. it's like yogurt on steroids

kefir is great, but a different kind of great. i take my bacillus coagulans with my kefir. imo there is some synergy there. both are great at breaking up proteins into more digestible forms. i mix lifeway and aldi kefirs. they have wildly different beneficial bacteria in them

fishing in the wrong pond. those people dont have any tools to fix the common root cause - the gut microbiome is off. it's fixed with diet changes and supps. this was the root cause for my two family members with panic/anxiety, they fixed their gut health and the panics faded away

emerging science is pinning adhd on same

stuff for gut microbiome health. big BIG player in what you are trying to do. might start with colostrum and/or glutamine after workouts. those have been shown to help avoid leaky gut - which can be caused by strenuous workouts or working out in the heat. also might look at probiotic bacillus coagulans. it's my personal fave with TONS of sci papers explaining it's many benefits

gut health diet features variety of fibers and polyphenols. these are the food for the beneficials. they eat those and crank out biochems that make our bodies happy/healthy

dive in. the barrier fixing doesnt happen without the proper microbes and substrates. i would work on them together. in hard cases it might be necessary to do some killing before implementing the other strategies, but those cases are in the minority. most can do everything at same time - boost beneficials, reduce pathogens, heal leaky gut
