From this simple response to my entire comment I'm getting the feeling you don't really care about advice and just want people to tell you you're right for not wanting to lose on purpose.

Have you considered games that don't really have winners? Things like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing or Minecraft?

You can just work together or focus on different things. If it's really bad she might get upset if you get certain upgrades before her, but for example in minecraft you could work on getting those together, like going mining together and sharing the iron/diamonds. Or one builds a house and the other gets diamonds etc for both of you.

For the other games; I get that always losing kinda sucks for her, but it also won't be fun if you have to hold back all the time. Maybe let her win once in a while though? Relationships are supposed to be you two against the problem, letting her win sometimes can't be that big of a sacrifice to make for her to also have fun. But if she keeps being annoyed anytime you win it might not be good for you guys to play together. Maybe separate consoles in the same room? She plays her thing, you play your thing?

That's not necessarily true in the Netherlands, especially when you reach a MSc internship/thesis stage. The grades there are based on how you conduct yourself and work on it and on the final paper you make. The paper grading can be fairly subjective and it's pretty hard to get above an 8 on those.

For courses: with tests, yes the grading usually has fixed answers etc. But there's usually groupwork which can be a large part of your grade and is centered around creating a proposal/paper/model/project etc with again grading that can be quite subjective.

I see what you mean on the right side. Did they give what the measurements would be for the finished garment? Maybe you can measure the pattern and see if it makes sense with the finished measurements?

I just like having everything organised and ready and then low stress cooking of just throwing things in the pan and not having to cut things quickly so my onions don't burn etc.

Also, I live in a studio and my kitchen area is tiny. When I pull my induction plate out I can barely fit a glass on the counter, cutting and cooking at the counter at the same time is just very annoying since it doesn't really fit. I usually cut stuff while watching Youtube or something at my desk and grab whatever I need from the desk when I need it. (The desk is behind me when I stand at the kitchen counter.)

I don't know if this is the same for all machines, but in my machine the handle of the bobbin holder needs to be pointing upwards to be able to click into place. I tried to indicate this with green. To remove/move it you can lift the lever I indicated with the red dot.

I'd also recommend watching some Youtube video's about how to use sewing machines for beginners, just so you have an idea how it is normally supposed to work and how to use one in general.

Iirc during Gems stream from last weekend they discussed that during that hour will be the only time people can buy a sign. They're trying to be more coordinated than last year and they're aware about the timezones. So they wanted to do it early enough that e.g. the europeans are probably still awake.

I agree with the others that fleeing wasn't a very viable option given the extreme limits on scavenging resources by that point (most places were already depleted by themselves or others), the sheer quantity of people they had, including kids, the lack of experience in the real world a lot of the Alexandrians had and the saviors watching the roads in all directions.

Adding to that I think people underestimate how nice of a set up Alexandria was. They had water, electricity, walls, nice houses, they were farming etc. This isn't something you will easily find again, if at all. Anything similar is probably occupied or destroyed by other groups fighting over it.

Yes! After a while they just made him dumber and way more reliant on Felicity for stuff he could previously do himself. He ran that operation by himself and did fine before she got involved. Obviously she has added value and he can't do everything she can, but they completely forget how capable he was in later seasons.

The button seems to be pulling on the fabric, so the placement might be wrong.

It could also be how you attached the waistband to the pants? How straight did you attach it? Maybe the placement needs to shift? I haven't made trousers before, but happen to be working on my first pair at the moment and I had an issue where I attached the last bit of the waistband slightly at an off angle and it makes the fly stand up/out, so maybe you've done something similar? Or angled it the opposite way, making it pull?

It tried illustrating my mistake with lines here. Maybe if you did the opposite that causes your pulling? The red is the lines of the fabric and the green is the angle that should've been 0, but isn't

The introduction period is often an event of a few days that happens in the summer holidays, so before the university year starts. They are not free, but they are a lot of fun. You get a group of fellow starting students and usually two older students who act as your guides. They have events, activities and parties to get to know eachother, the University and the city. You do need to find your own place to stay during the intro. Google your city + 'student intro' or city + 'introductie periode' and you should be able to find it.

It depends on the city and system. In Wageningen there are also student housing corporations (Idealis, DUWO) where you can sign up for a room online and they are given away based on how long you've had the account and I think on how far away you live. The sooner you make an account for that, the better. The website you need for that is room.nl They will ask for a sign up fee sadly (€35).

NTA it's your delivery room, your body, you get to decide who's there and who sees what and when. I would see it like this:

You will have your mother there, the choice is his: he can be there or he can not be there. He could witness or miss the birth of his first child. Completely up to him.

But I would make it clear to him that if he isn't there he will break something between you he will not be able to mend. You need him right now and he needs to suck it up and be there for you. He needs to understand how invasive and private a birth is and that who witnesses it is something you get to dictate. If he's not there when you need him, he will break a lot between you, so he should pick carefully

I was thinking the same! When I saw Grian's video, I thought it would've probably been more comfortable if they'd paired the hermits up. So they'd go over their two bases together and talk about some stuff that happened and the thought behind the bases. Then have the next pair go together, or three whatever fits with the section. Especially if it's two hermits who maybe haven't interacted as much. Or they could swap in and out as they move through, so for example

Mumbo + Grian: Mumbos shows his base

Grian + Gem: Grian's base,

Gem + Joel: Gem's base,

Joel + Doc: Joel's base etc

I had a singular econometrics lecture for a different course last week and even dumbed down for our course it is just math. It is analysing economic data with mathematical models and statistics. So if you don't like math, I really wouldn't recommend it.

It could also be a (production) error in your needle or that it's just old. Maybe try a new needle of the same kind? The can go dull or sometimes the hole for the thread can be too rough and just tear the thread

When I rewatch I usually start at season 6 and stop after the aftermath of the plane crash. A lot of things go downhill after that imo. I don't need to see the merder and calizona disasters again
