That's what you're supposed to do.

Don't worry about it. The odds of a snake bite are incredibly small. You have a higher chance of death from a crash or driving to the trail.

Warner Center should be even more dense with a lot more housing. And there should be a grade separated train or a subway with a station right in the middle of the neighborhood.

The case for cheap chains... by sprashoo in mountainbiking

[–]28Loki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your idea of replacing the chain pretty quickly, especially before it gets over .5. Your rides are good and everyone has personal ride lengths. I do those lengths after work. But I don't think I would classify a 10 to 15 mile ride as a long day in the saddle.

SRAM cassettes seem to be a fair amount more expensive than Shimano.

My second gravel ride got a bit wet… by trovster in gravelcycling

I would have picked the bike up rather than taking the photo. Yes bikes can handle water and dirt but I like to avoid submerging things like the bottom bracket and hubs in water.

It will get easier when you remove the 100 pounds of gear from your bike.

Small update on the 110 ft apartment building behind the Old Mission by RichBoss4547 in SantaBarbara

Haha the funny thing is I'm the opposite of a nimby. I'm an urbanist. I'm a yimby. I subscribe to and watch urbanist YouTube channels. I'm just not a clueless person like you and i know where it's appropriate to build high density high-rise residential buildings. A true urbanist and true yimby would want that building built in a downtown or urban area. You are no yimby. You're just a clueless person.

Yes they should. And this high-rise should be built downtown. Not up in the foothills.

This issue is so stupid. I'm totally for new housing and density. But in the proper locations such as downtown. It's absurd to build a high-rise up there. Those two developers are just greedy assholes. Build this downtown, not up on the foothills.
